The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

hello everybody I have tried to mine this solo.
My wallet is up to date and synched.
I have created a monacoin.conf in the same directory as the qt wallet.exe
I have run just a regular minerd.exe command as such:

D:\cpuminer-opt-3.6.0-windows>cpuminer-sse2.exe --url=http://127.0.0.1:9402 --user=miner --algo=scrypt

         **********  cpuminer-opt 3.6.0  ***********
     A CPU miner with multi algo support and optimized for CPUs
     with AES_NI and AVX extensions.
     BTC donation address: 12tdvfF7KmAsihBXQXynT6E6th2c2pByTT
     Forked from TPruvot's cpuminer-multi with credits
     to Lucas Jones, elmad, palmd, djm34, pooler, ig0tik3d,
     Wolf0, Jeff Garzik and Optiminer.

CPU features: SSE2 AVX
SW built on Mar 15 2017 with GCC 4.8.3
SW features: SSE2
Algo features: SSE2
Start mining with SSE2

[2017-04-28 22:55:03] 4 miner threads started, using 'scrypt' algorithm.
[2017-04-28 22:55:04] Empty data received in json_rpc_call.
[2017-04-28 22:55:04] getblocktemplate failed, falling back to getwork
[2017-04-28 22:55:04] Empty data received in json_rpc_call.
[2017-04-28 22:55:04] json_rpc_call failed, retry after 10 seconds
[2017-04-28 22:55:06] CTRL_C_EVENT received, exiting

My monacoin.conf file looks like this :
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcuser=miner
rpcpassword=x
rpcport=9402
port=9401
server=1
daemon=1
addnode=mona.2chpool.com
addnode=95.85.29.144

Dont know what the hell is going on and how u do this, i always find solo mining a pain in a butt.
I have only successfully managed to mine Bitsend solo.
I would love to try other coins.... something...

MonaCoin's algo is Lyra2REv2, not scrypt.
Lyra2REv2 supported miner information is here.

First cryptocurrency of Japan, Segwit and LN, not an insane high marketcap? Looks nice and cheap. Heck, this was one of my picks in the past in case Cryptos ever became popular in Japan.

Japan adopted cryptocurrencies and Mona is one of the oldest Japanese crypto.

You as community should redesign your image and build professional website representation.

Mona community should start to work more professionally to approach new customers.

You all will become millionaires. Good luck!
