Dont know. But  i remember mona was forked from Sakuracoin? So maybe sakuracoin worth to watch also....

The old monacoin that Mr.Watanabe made was the first cryptocurrency in Japan.
However, another man who wanted to become "the first in Japanese cryptocurrency" distributed this coin so that it is not known to other Japanese and Mr. Watanabe, renaming this coin as sakuracoin.
Also, when he distributed sakuracoin, he deleted the copyright of Monacoin. And he said, "I made it."
The Japanese was angry to know that. They think "The Japanese does not do such a shameless thing". So they hate Sakuracoin.
There is no Japanese currently using sakuracoin.

This is the fact.

Nice to wake up and see it hit the $3 mark Smiley  wow already the #5 crypto in $$$ vol

this is the main reason why Zaif  MONA/JPY $ 1.7762946    vol   $ 35,236,669

dont know why some are bashing this coin, funny they are negative as it goes from .44 to over $3 ... when is it a positive play??

anyway if a whole country has adopted a crypto as theirs it worth a look dont ya think..  six month to year hold for me.. maybe longer.. Still trying to find some of those 2014 physical coins and no luck in case anyone knows where to get a few.

Hi Monacoin miners out there.

i have been mining vertcoin - same algo - for a while and have my own vertcoin P2Pool node, which sees my nvidia rigs and gives me an avarage of around 230mh/s at lyra2rev2, and the corresponding share rewards for vertcoin.

now i tried mining Monacoin via suprnova and its dashboard only ever showed my hashrate in the 80-90mh/s range.

can anyone recommend a better pool for me to use for Monacoin? I live in Australia so anything with Asian servers would be great.

Is there anything like P2Pool for Monacoin?

Crypto currency enthusiast and miner since 2015. Mined approx 200 ETH during 2016 and 2017 and sold it at approximately $US40 each. Then I watched it reach $1000+ each. If anyone bothers to read this stuff pay attention to this: HODL HODL HODL HODL HODL HODL

I started mining with 1 AMD 7950 and 1 R9-280X. Then I gradually built my AMD operation into 12 R9-290s. Awesome ETH hash but ridiculous power consumption and heat. Over the last year I defected to the Nvidia team. I now use GTX 1070s. They were expensive to buy (probably a bargain now) but awesome hash rate vs. power consumption. blah blah blah blah

Could you please give me some info about mining?

I started to mine it with a single RX 480 8GB (not modded, it's just for initial test). So I downloaded SG miner 5.5.5 and configured to suprnova pool.
When I started to mine (2 days ago) I could reach 11-12 MH/s by setting a proper intensity (i know it's still worse than with GTX cards). I realized that i configured the wallet user wrong and I was mining for some default wallet. After correcting it, the hash rate went down to 4.5 MH/s. That's a huge change! Please help what the heck happens?

In short:
- RX 480 (original BIOS) with 8 GB (stable @ 1303/2200 MHz, GPU load: 100%)
- SG miner v5.5.5
- Intensity: 20
- Temp: 59 C
- Win10 x64 16 GB
- Every package is accepted, no invalid calculations
- Hash rate = ~ 4.5 MH/s   <--- Huh WHY?

Second question: for GTX1070, which is the best miner/pool combo?

Actually I mine with a 6x1070 rig, but I just wanted to test it on my desktop first.

My settings:
- 6x GTX 1070
- ccMiner-x64 v2.2.2 (CUDA v9.7)
- Driver: v384.76
- Pool: suprnova:2995
- Hashrate: 205 MH/s (the whole rig)
- Intensity: 22

Should I fine tune something to reach better results or is it good already?

Nothing like it.
This coin is gaining a lot of interest in Japan and I believe the Japanese will make it go where they brought NEM before.
Just have a look at their fiat exchanges for Mona:
