120 Confirms are necessary to protect the generation of new coins. Pools however should be running a reserve and sending coins from those reserves. 120 is necessary for block safety, but it's too long for withdrawal.

Many pools in other coins already do this.

THE BONUS:
100 CATS to the first few pools to change to this scheme.

RULES:
As soon as 5 others match this offer.

Otherwise, I will lend coins to the first pool to do this.

EASY CALCULATION FOR TRADES: 1 Million is 1x10e6. 1 Satoshi is 1x10e-8. 1 M sat is 1x10e-2. 100 M sat is 1. If 1 herpcoin = 100 derptoshi then
1 M herpcoin @ 001 derptoshi = 0.01 derpcoin, 1 M herpcoin @ 100 derptoshi = 1.00 derpcoin

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Agreed. This coin is very difficult to mine, and a lot of smaller miners are giving up on the coin because of the long confirm times.

Please fix this Pools or you will continue to lose miners.

The coin is supposed to be difficult. It's a clone of Bitcoin. The parameters are the same. There are a lot of successful coins which are difficult to mine.
But the pools have to adapt and not be lazy. I haven't seen one pool that displays accurate info for example.

I'm currently adjusting my pool for this because i agree it takes long since the difficulty jump.

Only thing is that my pool has 0% fees at the moment!

That's great news. I'll message the dev and let him know. I'll also request that all pools that decrease their confirms get a bigger mention in the first post.

This is in the best interest of Pools and Miners alike. The pools that lower their confirms are going to hold on to the most Miners.

Sent to @jochem:
I will lend CATS if you need.

CATCOIN has to be the BTC clone. BITCOIN is getting too friendly with 20th century regulators using 19th century economics with an 18th century attitude.

My time goes to doge, ftc, wdc, and cat. But we need a major currency that is not controlled by people building nuclear bunkers instead of thinking forward.

Also it's nice to know the feds don't have the most cats like with BTC.

We have to keep the BTC parameters, but we can adapt.

Thanks for the offer, I probably don't need it. I almost never lend from someone else, it's my own job to make a buck Cheesy. I've sent some cats to my pool account.
Currently i changed it from 120 to 100. Once i get more cats in i will lower it again to 80 i think..

IF you want to make a small donation send it to: 9Xg1VjpNXMetFfQ6vu9aCnJZ25o4SLaSps (same address listed on the pool page).
