There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

It's incredible  Shocked

And it has a future!
The 2x difficulty adjustment in 24 hours is great Smiley
It will always be attractive to mine; if price drops, miners leave, difficulty drops, miners step back in, etc...

No it's not!  Why post lies?  Just so you can sell your hoard?

He's not lying.

I have 2.95Ghash/s (at  current difficulty ± 1.47BTC / 24 hours)

I mined 300 SolidCoins last 24 hours.
That's 8.1 BTC if I sell them now.

That's 5,5 times more profitable!

When Ixcoin starts with the "SolidCoin code", it will happen to Ixcoin too. I'm certain of that. That's why I'm keeping my Ixcoins.

We're just 2000SC away from the lowest ask being 0.03..wow...how long did it take Namecoin to get to that value again?

I'm out for now. I've made about 205.19 BTC with solid coins.

Maybe if the price comes down some more I'll buy back in.

But for now I'm going to just watch the fireworks.

Happy trading everyone!

How profitable will 413MHash/s be with this compared to btc? This is with my 2 computers GPUs working together for 17 hours a day (due to high elec costs where I am)
PC gives 405MHash/s (HD6950 Oc'd and Overvolted)
MBP gives 8MHash/s (GT330M on MBP)

How much can I expect to make a day now?

Say does anyone know of a cheap/powerful card to add to my setup or a really cheap HD6990?

To those of you with like GHash/s setups, what kind of cards are you using? and how many?

What are the best clock and voltage settings to get the abolute max out of a HD6950 without ruining it?

At the moment, profitability is about equal to BTC. It varies up and down. Do some math with the relative difficulties and remember that SC only pays 32 coins per block and has higher stales. I have a spreadsheet to automate it for myself.

The king of mining is not the 6990......it is actually the 5970.No other card is as efficient power wise and Mh/s as that card even if the electric rates are somewhat high. When I did solidcoin some thought it was crazy to even do it OR even buy new videocards because BTC was devalued but if you look at it logically if you had the processing power to get it all done at an earlier stage you would be VERY well off.I got into Solidcoin only on the second day through the guild w/ a 6950 and 5770 and made at least 40 Btcs through selling.I suspect if I had gotten the 5970's I ordered earlier I could have at least quintupled-sextupled that.

There is no question that the hardware pays off itself very quickly during times like these considering there have been numerous alternatives over the last month or so.However, considering how Solidcoin works with the adjusting difficulty and potential alternatives down the pike it is a good time to get a mining rig done I think.

I also think Solidcoin has another chance this week to rise again so will be hoarding them until that time.
