Nice settings man!

Atm I'm running 2x Sapphire R9 280x at ~705 Kh each

I bought a 3rd one and waiting for it to arrive.

My PSU actually is a Corsair AX 860W 80 Plus Platinum....I'll be able to run the 3x Sapphire R9 280x with this one? Without overclocking of course.

If you undervolt your cards from stock then i see no problem. AX PSUs are grazy good. I run 3 cards @ 1030/1500 1075mv with AX760 on one of my diggers. It doesnt even sweat.

Those are some sexy fucking cards right there. I've had my eye on the 290 versions, but they're never in stock at NewEgg. :-/

I quess it will run with stock volts too, but you can just save 100W with no perfomance loss if you undervolt.

other question,
i note u use both pci-e 16x than 1x
is there any difference in khash/s, using 1x pci-e slot?

this because i'm starting to build my first rig, and i'm confused what motherboard choose
what best and cheapest?
asrock fx970? or fx 990
and gigabyte ga970a with 2 pci-e 16x and 3 pci-e 1x? it is able to support  5 r9280x?
farther, considering that 16x pci-e riser are very difficult to find in italy, for me is better choose this mainboard and use 3 risers 1x for 3 card while i'm waiting the 16x risers from china?

tnx in advance for reply Smiley

edit: for VNC, you use teamviewer?

Do your cards use the Hynix or Elpida memory?

Interested in your total watt usage as well. When I saw your topic last week I pre-ordered 4 Toxics, but then started doubting if I could run 4 of them on the 1200W Corsair PSU that I already had, after reading the heavy load usage figures in several reviews. Eventually went for 4 x Dual-X, only got 2 installed at the moment because I'm waiting for my riser cables, pulling 615W at the moment for the system getting 750kh/s on each card. Seems I'll safely make it under the 1200W anyway.

Based on my rig readings with a 90% efficent PSU.

4x 280x @ 1080/1500 1125mv = 1190W from the wall. 750-755khs per card.
4x 280x @ 1030/1500 1075mv = 1050W from the wall. 715-720khs per card.
4x 280x @ 1000/1500 1037mv= 970W from  the wall. 695-705khs per card.

I assume he runs 800khs per card @ around 1160/1800 1120-1125mv. This should pull approximately 1550-1650w from the wall.

fuck.

You got issues.  I have 3x r9 280x's, averaging 715-730Khps, 4G ram, and I'm only using 850-900 Watts, with slight overclocks.

thx , I'll check everything

I have the drivers 13.11 beta and sdk 2.9

What overlock you done?

Here's my bfgminer conf.  I have a sapphire twin-x, gigabyte (with the windforce cooler) and an asus card.  here are the stock/current clocks:

gigabyte: 1100/1050
sapphire: 1020/1070
asus: 1070/1040 (seems to perform poorer at stock than 1040)

I didn't over/underclock memory as it didn't seem to affect my performance that much.

i am interested in running a 4 card rig but i get a little confused on power draw at wall.. i get that 1550-1650 is at the wall.. so does that mean a 1500w 80 PLUS SILVER will be unable to handle that draw from 4 gpu's?

I doubt that any 1500W silver PSU can handle this load. But perhaps some barely can. You need to undervolt your cards and your PSU will be totally fine then.
My first miner ran 1190W from the wall with Lepa 1000W. This is gold standard PSU and gets around 89% efficency at 100% 12v rail load. As you can calculate, i ran it over its technical limits and it was still absolutely stable. Amazing PSU. I ran this setup at 1190W for 2 weeks. Later i flashed my GPUs to more efficent bios and now it uses about 970W from the wall with cards running 1005/1500. 1037mv.
I get less hash than before, but cards run a lot cooler and quieter. So i sticked with that.

1100 core at least, or you won't reach 750 ever

I can get 750Kh/s from my Sapphire Dual-X's quite easily at 1080/1500 and undervolted to 1.180... be sure to use the latest drivers - 13.12... immediate 100Kh/s jump.

btw.. op says he

"can run at 765Kh/s per card at 1.2V if I lower mem to 1500 and engine to 1100"

any idea what will be the total power draw at wall then..

what is the best program or drivers to control the voltage of Sapphire 280X's... I am using Sapphire TriXX... but wish I could control it through cgminer or similar low-level option instead of needing to run a separate program.
