Great video, very professional production and a little mysterious teaser too, like the vibe of it alot.  Grin

I just want to see XCP on coinmarketcap, so do the XCP devs!
I cant wait for XCP to be up against mastercoin on the coinmarketcap.
Out of sight out of mind.
coinmarketcap wont list XCP until we are on exchange

I beleive we can use API of blockscan last order match ticker;to be added to coinmarketcap
 http://blockscan.com/api2.aspx?module=price&asset1=BTC&asset2=XCP

by the way, counterparty does not have yet a 'favicon' style icon, all of coins listed there currently do

i'm getting the  {'message': 'TX rejected', 'code': -22} error on an order command.

unsigned tx:

Thanks for the help

I think you must wait for maturation, try in 20 minute again.. more detail info here https://counterparty.co/faqs/i-got-an-error-tx-rejected-code-22-what-is-that/

What is the format of --description for issuance command?

It's unicode text, up to 42 chars

I didn't see an answer, so I'll ask again....

What happens to the 5 XCM fee you pay when you issue an asset?

I believe they are burnt

So this serves as a form of deflation for XCP?

One other related question, why is the fee for sending XCP so expensive?  That is, the bitcoin min tx fee is 0.0001, while to send XCP costs me 0.0003XXX  Sad

Anyone able to give definitive to questions above?  First question is most important.

Yes.

Those aren't fees---the funds are returned to you.

Short term solution waiting for new 0.9 bitcoind to support new method that avoids this. Also, the multisig fees are recoverable somehow.

Just heard from poloniex guy. I think my pestering him has made him semi-eager to add it, if only to stop my constant emails to him Smiley

I can lias with him, or maybe cityglut? Not sure what docs to send him to help him integrate XCP. He is worried that it will be a lot of extra work like adding NXT was.

James

P.S. coinmarketcap here we come!!!

It should be very straightforward to add support for Counterparty in an existing exchange. Pretty much all you need  is the 'send' functionality, and we have a solid API for that, and for everything else. Tell this guy to look at our API documentation (which is more stable than the warning at the head of the page suggests).

You might PM CityGlut also.

EDIT: Does he know about the bounty?

Why is there a 0.0003 BTC fee on XCP transactions if the money is returned ? .... I saw JL777 said something about a temp solution until 0.9 is out.. but uh, why ?

EDIT: Does he know about the bounty?
I gave Tristan the URL for API and it sounds like he is starting work on it. I also clarified the size of the bounty, especially POST-coinmarketcap implications.

poloniex came out of nowhere in the last month and Tristan is clearly very competent dev. He asked if all he had to do was to add XCP/BTC and I said yes, but also to make sure to have API for coinmarketcap to use.

Is it true that first exchange that enables us to get on coinmarketcap will get the bounty or will it be shared among all the exchanges that add it by the 25th?

Somthing about OPCODE_RETURN or something like that in the new bitcoind that eliminates need for this mechanism. XCP devs implemented a workaround with existing bitcoind, because they are that good!

James

The bounty will be shared by the exchanges that implement support by the 25th, but the weighting will favor those that are first/early.

Will the GUI do away with the need to download the Bitcoind and go through that complicated download?

Don't forget to ask the larger exchanges to look at Counterparty.

I've sent emails to BTC-e, bter.com and Cryptsy.

Bter.com would be an excellent for exposure to the Chinese market.

Cryptsy already has shares listed on https://cryptostocks.com/securities/57 so they might be interested in the Counterparty for managing their shares.
