XCP's market cap has now exceeded Mastercoin's!

P.S. Bear in mind, that the current valuation is WITHOUT a popular desktop GUI (bounty still being decided I think) and web wallet.

P.P.S. How long do you think it'll be before the media perk up and notice a new Top 10 (or even Top 5?) coin?

Please let it be after the new site is up.

Yea, things are moving way too fast. I wouldn't mind for value to stabilize at 0.01 or even below until the whole metric ton of work in progress things comes out:

- New site
- New design
- Web wallet
- GUI wallets for Mac and Win
- News articles
- A whole bunch of guides and FAQs
- (and the most important thing) real people issuing worthwhile assets and feeds for their projects

Is there an ETA for any of these projects?

If Matt Y had the time to update us on each item, that would be amazing. If you are all busy making the magic happen, please ignore the request and keep up the great work Smiley

I've almost got JahPowerBits GUI finished. It's taking a bit longer with the addition of a few extra features (color themes, animations, etc).
I'm doing my best to get it done as soon as possible.
Time frame 1-2 days.

I haven't gone through this whole thread yet but it seems like an interesting discussion on escrow.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=212490.0

I haven't had a chance to fully read it yet. It's talking about using BitMessage as a trustless mechanism to bridge across OT servers.

The ramifications if true is that it would be possible to create a trustless gateway service between a DEX and a disparate blockchain. ie purchase PPC in Counterparty and then trustlessly exchange it for 'real' PPC.

I've had a read and I'd be interested in what others think.

I can see how the protocol could be used as a discovery mechanism for inter-blockchain services. It relies on smart contracts and without those we would require trust.

WHEN WILL THERE BE A CLIENT FOR THE NORMAL PEOPLE

or shall we crash the XRP market

The installing for receiving the XRP is impossible,

HuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuh?counterpartyd_binaries-master?HuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuh?

As I still have the XRP on an exchange, unable to receive them, I will sell them to dump-price......

The web client will be coming soon.

You don't need to have counterpartyd to receive XCP on your existing BTC addresses. However, without Counterpartyd you won't be able to move the XCP out of those addresses.

What is the problem you are experiencing with countepartyd? Please post your operating system, steps you are following and what the error is.

I'm sure someone here or in the official forums can help you out.

when will the web wallet be out roughly?

Busoni,

There has been over 100 BTC traded today, great, but when will you make payouts to those that were hacked?

Daily? Weekly?
Or are you going to wait only until 100% fees are recovered?

What is the plan please?

Did Busoni distribute the 12 BTC donated by the Counterparty Devs?

Is there a way to put counterparty coins in cold storage, I know this should be the same process as Bitcoin.
However, has anyone successfuly tried this out.

You would just make a bitcoin paper wallet and send the xcp to the address .... cold storage just means that private keys don't exist on any network connected volume to my knowledge.

It's pretty funny how easily people can manipulate the BTC market with a little effort and creativity.

Business insider is based against bitcoin.

It's everywhere - check both threads here and BTC blogs (including coinbase).

The trigger seems to be the leak of this little doc:

I guess a BTC crash on near-term, and stabilization on a long term.

Highly doubt it. Failure of Gox was already mostly priced in. (It's not like this is coming as a surprise!)
