I think it is fair to give £200k for a year, if the land owner is doing farming or some kind of investment in their land. Otherwise it is not fair to offer £200k for a wealthy person.

As if now most of the time, wealthy people gets the bigger part and the poor people gets the lesser part in business and other transactions.

If the land is use for agriculture, the outcome might be more than £200k, if the agricultural item has higher value. Otherwise it is not appropriate to offer £200k for the people who owns 1 thousand acre.

The issue is that it’s mostly the rich people have the money to own the land that’s being specified by OP. If this is indeed true, it’s one the severe injustice in the current world.
