Thank you for your response However that didn't answer my question I'm not saying they are being released anytime soon. I'm just wondering what kind of effect it will have on the market and the litecoin price

Have been watching this. and Im not sure.

I Think at the start you will probably see a sharp drop. with a rebound after that.

But I still don't see the lite asic coming till next year.

My opinion
ASICs itself will not boost the price.
They will just change the amount of miners.
The amount of miners will decrease and the hashrate will increase.
The difficulty again is based on the hashrate and will increase.
The increase in hashrate and increase in difficulty will probably make the price unchanged since the amount of coins entering the system remains unchanged.
