We decided to get a coin rolling and it got a lot of enthusiasm in the Israeli Bitcoin community. As you must know, the Israeli Bitcoin community is one of the largest and most active communities in the world. After announcing in advance, the genesis block was mined on the 3rd of January 2014, 5 years after Bitcoin's genesis block.

Activity is happening in the official Facebook group (mostly in Hebrew, English is more than welcome!).

I'm expecting lots of scamcoin accusations, it's fine. The coin is meant to be more "local" for the Israeli bitcoin community, which is quite enthusiastic I have to say. I'm not trying to sell the coin, so if you're not interested, that's cool. The main reason I posted it here is because we're interested in it being not pre-mined, so the least I could do is put a little post on the international boards.

Well 117 weeks has gone and i can see only 145 blocks actually. Already mined 1 block in a few seconds. Now if this is actually with a trojan i dunno...

it doesnt to me. Maybe you have configured to mine. Check your hash at help-->debug window--->console by writing   "getmininginfo"

if you get a number higher than 0 in hashpersec then you are mining

I mined these yesterday some time after launch so i am not a very new user,  however the syncing problem appeared at me too (Left it mining overnight it doesnt showed that it is out of sync but i had only one connection to the network and at morning when i restarted the client and forced to sync by adding the nodes 31k disapeeared from the wallet as i mined it out of sync) but that's my problem i should have been aware to have more connections

I don't think that racism or antisemitism has to be involved or even discussed here. There are extremist people on both side but this extremism shouldnt be applied for a whole community.
Let's just see the facts: this was the fairest launch in the past 1 month. Coin was pretty much glitchless compared to other launches here. There were no tons of orphans when solo mining. And yes i support this coin for it's fairness even if i am not israelian

Coin is taking off steadily... Solo mining in 2-3 minutes at first, then 20-40 minutes, now it takes an hour or two. (all at 600kh hashrate)

I don't see why any other dev would have to touch this, however if it will be needed i am sure the owner will get help.
BTW coingen made a bugfix on this when had difficulty stuck. The problem with coingen coins it is not that they are from coingen the problem is who and how puts its hand on a coin.

I don't see a reason to get a real dev involved ATM. Besides, NexusCoin is totally decentralized such that I no longer have nor want any control over how the coin and the community around it develops. However the community has been fantastic in this regard. I can't believe that within three days of launch we have more than one mining pool, a block explorer, and it is being integrated in an exchange as I'm typing these words. A group of folks are even working on a mobile smartphone wallet! When a real dev needs to get involved, I'm sure someone from the community will help.

I think it will go higher once the difficulty adjusts.The early adopters have waaay too much NXC and this inflates the price.

I wrote two PMs to WIW about listing NXC on popular international exchanges like cryptsy or coinedup but didn't get any answer.Lets be honest, no one knows coinshake outside of Israel and even the Israelis don't use it to trade NXC.And why the hell would you make a "Local coin" for your people?It's like bringing it to death row.The facebook group has 330 members for like two week...
