I have only 4GB RAM on my 2X7950 rigs, and I still got 1000-2000MH/s.
I use basic settings:

Anyone had any luck compiling GPU miner for linux ? I tried a few different clones of cgminer for the scrypt variation this coin uses but no luck compiling suitable binary yet.

If the devs of the coin can release any info on how to compile the miner for linux please do. There are lots of people there who will not join the network because they have all their rigs set with linux. It is way better if you have 10+ rigs to set with linux instead of windows.

microCoin will be one of the first coins to be traded on crycurex.com! The website is launching on January 21st.

Status update:

Change of strategy: Bounties are closed for now (will be back up later). microcoin will be getting an overhaul on marketing and appearance once the logo contest ends. We'll launch the website during the same time.
As I've said a couple times, we're also planning on a bigger announcement in the following weeks so a lot of the money, time and effort is being put into that now. That's also a reason for why bounties are closed for now.
Bounties will be back up later, but we're also going to see how well microCoin does on the market and adjust our strategy based on that. You can be sure that microCoin development still continues! After all, microCoin is a long-term investment.

Now talk about some marketing  

I was thinking that for this occasion would be a very good idea to make a BIG GIVEOUT on the altcoin section of the forum!
I thought about  2000 MRC for the first 100 people asking  voting for add on cryptsy and other 1000 each for the next 100 for helping the community in many ways: link to the official thread in their signature, voting on cryptsy, talk to their mates, spreading the faucets lin around, etc..
I would put in 20000 MRC to start, if you can find some "donators" for this projet to reach the amount of almost 300/350k MRC and start the giveout... this would attract a lot of attention to the coin!

Devs quite agree with this, tell in the threads how many MRC could you donate for this Giveout i will take responibility for making official giveout threads and coordinate the donations. we can send alla the coins to a wallet decided by voting or simply by accordance of the community or send to the devs and delegate them to send giveouts to people, if they can or want handle this stuff plus thier own..
