I like this coin, I just picked some up on MINTPAL.com

I think the super high-coin-count will hold prices back a bit.  But at 4-5 satoshis... Its a steal!

I think the setback at launch was actually good for this coin. The fix on the diff really worked perfect and the distribution is good.
Its one of the few good coins that wasn't hyped and pumped, so it managed to have a healthy growth.

Even now that we begin to see some increase on mining and trading volume, its very underrated.

Its my favorite coin at the moment.

What cards do you got? I got two R9 270 so I am in the same boat as you I believe. Diff at 5.22, I am glad I got to mine MRC from the start.

Just a suggestion:

fix your coin/day calculation on your pool.  That's what most people use to judge which pool to use, and your's underestimates by quite a bit.  That could be a big reason you're seeing so many people going to other pools in the first place.  Here's an article on how to get a good estimate:

Really? Wow, I would like to think that miners knew how mining worked and rather than look at the calcs, looked at the block find times else I could just set it to 1000000000000 per day and destroy networks.

Still I fear you have a point. I'll sort it in a bit. The issue is with the way mpos calculates it, it's based on a fixed block size but as we all know the size is changing so it will only be a point in time.

Why did the devs decided to elevate the coin height to 160k/block. It kind of defeated the purpose of whales not having an insta-mine advantage early but intead they have a late insta-mine advantage lol

anyway it has a cool name better then cat or dogecoin, so I'll grab some

Well difficulty has more than tripled over the past few days. If it doesn't go back down again then the increase in payouts won't make up for that, so people who were mining earlier do have something of an advantage.

Miners, you should really be looking at the blocks page to see how profitable a pool is and NOT the per day calculators.

The calcs in mpos are based on a fixed block size by default AND are only a guess based on your hash rate. If you are submitting bad shares or the pool is having bad luck and or orphans that will be way out (and usually is).

A better gauge of your daily income is the blocks page and look for the percentage area. 100% is the "expected" based on the coins difficulty. The lower the number the better. Ignore the 1hour/24 hour as they are subject to HUGE swings due to luck and variance. The 7day, 4week, and "all time" are a much more dependable way of judging the pools profitability and over all luck.

I'm not hating on any whales I mean they did risk money on their gear but the way the rewards were designed wasn't the finest  because like you said it basically traded early insta-mine for a late insta-mine. There was suppose to be a good distribution of Microcoin early on and there was but that has been pretty much been negated by now.

IMO it's a good thing that you told people about it, should not keep this so low profile until block 160K, might be too late then if the decline in rewards already started. Be glad that price is going up, volume is going up. More people mining. This is a good thing right???

Good post. The estimate is just an estimate(and it's a poor estimate as well). Is the percentage area the "luck factor"?
