How long does it take to process a payment?

I still haven't recieved any transaction, and on the site it says the payment is instant...

I'm running DiabloMiner on Ubuntu, mining on Deepbit, and one payment of 0.01 BTC is due more than one hour ago...

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

I've seen it take as long as 11 to 12 hours for the transaction to be included in the first block.

no.1 noob-not-recving-transaction problem.

DID YOU DOWNLOAD THE BLOCKS?

Oh, I see: so my transaction is in block 142890, and I've downloaded something about 126000 block so far...

So I just sit and wait until 142890 comes up, right?

also, you can go to http://blockexplorer.com/ to check which block is the most recently discovered. if you have downloaded all blocks, and your transaction still doesn't show up in your wallet, something went wrong Wink
