I've got it running stable but had to crank the intensity and TC way down, anything above 13 and 8192 either won't launch or gives me heaps of HW errors, seems like plenty of people say 4gb of RAM is fine but a few also say you can't get over 8192 until they put 8GB of RAM, will let it run at that for now even though its only getting low 500k and try putting more RAM in it next week to see if that helps.

I am using 4GB too.

For me, 10240 was maximum, above it cgminer would not start.
Also sometimes not both cards would start, so I lowered it to 8192.
Now all is fine.

The tc has nothing to do with system ram.  It is related to the ram on the card itself.  I never could get it to work correctly in windows above 8192.  In linux it is easy, the command is

export GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100

Somewhere I found the similar command for windows, but  I could never get it to work.

I got it working but with heaps of hardware errors so went and got some more ram today to take it up to 8gb, I started with it at 8191 and I-13 and was getting @500, tried upping it but no luck so left it running for a couple of hours and then I was able to start upping things.
Currently running it at 20480 I-19 and upped the worksize to 512, I also found those commands and ran the GPU_MAX commands for Windows and getting a solid 830 a card now, have tried to push it more and could get upwards of 870 but then the temp was hitting mid 90's and it would then drop back into the 700's so backed it off until I can work out the temp control.
I tried Auto which would keep it around 90-94, if I did 40-100 it would just go flat out so have it at 40-65 for the moment and its sitting in the mid 80's to 90 but would like to work out what the fans only run at the maximum value, will have to keep working on that one but at least its running largely to its potential.
