Oh, definitely. The best sites are those that give out more rewards. I have no issues with a freeroll that has 5000 people and pays out to the top 200-250 (smaller amounts, but it adds up. It's better than wishing and hoping to win a few first/second/third places). Bodog was like that.

One other thing to note that is kind of misleading is in promotions. You get 25 50 and 100 chips for reaching certain waves. It would be nice for the site to keep adding as players reach levels as players are raking for the site but chips stop at 100 . The thing that is misleading is there is a to be announced for reaching 5k but as those of us who have reached 5k krill you get zero so may want to take out the tba as players who reach it will be disappointed.   I hope im not seen as bitching too much I just think rewarding palyers for raking will get site more rake because players will have more inscentive to rake for the site if rewarded. Yeah it is the other negative: u get 35 for reaching 500, some 50 for other point (dont remember) and 100 for reaching 2500. If even we suppose u reach 2500 when u paid 2500 mBTC rake (which is less), then u have already bennpaid 185mBTC which is ~ 7/5% rakeback.
But then from 2500 to 10000 is a flat journey until u reach 10K and get a flat %2 rake.
Seals is a nice poker room, but I think their promotions needs a complete revision and repair.

Whats the deal with turning peoples chat to black ? Anita finally had her chat turned to black I see but she was an amusing troll. Just wondering because I thought it was uncensored chat even though she is really annoying pretty harmless. Hope I don't ever get my chat turned to black.

sometimes a chat needs a-blackin', usually do to excessive trolling or chat-flooding.

The fact that it was blacked, and not fully removed, usually means the person didn't do severe harm and just needed a time out.  I likely forgot to un-time out, but that's the risk you run when you fuck up the SwC chat!

1)  when I first started playing SwC, in early 2011, I thought the krill system was stupid and asked Freemoney to scrap it right away.  Boy was I wrong.

2)  unlike other sites, krill never goes down, only up.  Your krill RB% can only go up, so it needs to go slow.  My krill level right now is ~250k, good for 27% RB.  Now obviously I'm the Chairman site pro, but if I were a regular player I'd be happy about this now.  Also, I'm not a super-grinder, meaning I don't have 4x tables of cash up every day for 4+hrs, so this level is achievable in a reasonable timeframe.

3)  The system can certainly use tweaks, and we are going to tweak as the site continues.  Expect a more logical progression and yes we will make a prize for 5000 krill eventually too   [we get that 1 lots]

Krill takes a long time to accrue and while I understand what you are saying should have a little more inscentive for people putting in a lot of volume to offset the variance . Going to take me over a year to get to 50k in krill . A lot of sites give you 35 percent right off I understand Seals can't give those types of deals as a new site but something a little more player friendly would really be appreciated.

Right off the top we essentially give 50% back in the sense that we're about 50% cheap than 'normal' sites. Then we do 50% more back for 2 and 3 handed play at 6 and 9 seat ring tables. So even with no krill lever you should think of it as 50% to 75% RB at Seals.

It is rather slow to move up krill ranks, but unlike most sites you don't lose your rank for inactivity, it just slowly marches up.

5000 krill gets you in the 140 hour krill freeroll (that's a bit more often than every week) and you don't have to keep playing in order to keep access to that. Right now the prize is 2000 chips and we haven't changed that even as bitcoin values have gone up 10x and more, same with the fixed chip prizes. We might have to change them eventually, but we like to keep things stable. Wave 4 still says tba because there might eventually be something else merchandise related that players become eligible for at that level.

Starting tomorrow, krill will be awarded to 0.1 precision. Low games still get proportionally more krill per rake because of how square roots work, krill is sqrt(rake), but with less distortion from the rounding we can offer more lower stakes games and put them in the launcher (coming soon).

Also starting tomorrow 2x krill for play between 2am and 10am ET.

There will be more promos coming, I'll give hints when I'm sure the ones we want to offer can be achieved in a smooth way technically.

I'm sorry if chat-blackening offends anyone, you should just think of it like (possibly unwanted) flirting. You can set your color back to normal yourself in the "Edit Account Details" page linked from your "My Account" page.

Recently players with less than 500 krill were blocked from changing their own color, this lets downloadable client users bock all newbies chat in one setting. Fun fact, when you hit 500 krill your color changes imperceptible to mark you out from the newbies and stop you from being newbie blocked. Of course, if you suck at talking people may still block you individually.

We want to give players tools to customize their own chat experience instead of completely chat banning anyone they might enjoy talking to or listening to. Currently the flash client is terrible for this, but the downloadable client is getting pretty good.

Looking forward to the promos. Usually when starting tables they fill pretty quickly and table starter gone. Thanks for the response as always. More incentives will lead to more play and more rake just throwing that out there.

Think of it like a bitcoin faucet for poker players, instead of a captcha, play this game (possibly for a long time).

It also lets people try the software out any time of day and gives people something to do at Seals while they wait to get more bitcoins. It may (or may not) be less vital now, but I think it really kept us going in the beginning and helped to draw in a lot of players who are now regs and wouldn't touch that dirty freeroll.

It isn't meant to be strong poker competition, that's what the real games are for.

We know that u have a very low rake deal, also good rakeback (lets say giveback). What we say is that the rakeback ladder could have a more logical progression pace. The current plan harms even more to the site than players, since it pushes grinders/big rake makers away due to the fact I mentioned before in a post.
