Original thread at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=568453.0

Considering the general preference and energy saving features of POS coins, do you think Hashcoin should be forked to end its POW soon and then POS only?

If enough people want that, the dev might do it Smiley

I am all for ending POW and making it POS only. Share your opinion below.

It'll be unfair for the current late start miners.  Plus, the dev already has a POS coin "dreamcoin"

There can be another 2 weeks of POW and then it becomes 100% POS. Here's what I would suggest:

Year 1: 8% interest
Year 2: 4% interest
Year 3 onwards: 2% interest
14 days for POS coins to mature.

Not sure if Dev will go for it.  It might take away some of the shine from DRM. And the hashcoin with no hash comment will be mentioned a million times.

Well, why not? Both coins can coexist perfectly fine.
