Can I use the new PoS wallet to transfer coins from cryptsy ?

The new wallet will be announced at the time of switch. I do not think you will have lots of time to start it, generate receiving address and request transfer from cryptsy.

Recommendation - use current PoW wallet to generate address. Transfer money there and then after the switch migrate coins using https://github.com/eagleflies/noblecoin/wiki/Importing-private-keys-from-old-wallet.dat-using---salvagewallet-option method.

Alternatively - you can transfer coins to either bittrex or poloniex.

There is only PoS wallet download link on the main page:

Latest Production Versions (Eagleflies/PoS): http://noble.ilikebtc.com/NobleCoin-Qt-v2.0.0.zip

This is confusing and may lead to loss. I downloaded this wallet and transferred 1 NOBL from cryptsy to it and it didn't showed.
Please, add the link of the old PoW wallet to the main page.

I see that Rofo provided link to the new wallet already Wink So the new wallet is the PoS wallet we are going to use after transition.

Current PoW wallet can be downloaded from https://www.noblemovement.com/downloads/NobleCoin-Qt-v1.0.1-Heartbleed.zip
I am unable to update our OP since I did not create it.

----

Your money is safe. If you transferred anything into new wallet you will see money after switch. Switch will happen after block #534500 of PoW blochchain.
You can monitor current blockchain there https://chainz.cryptoid.info/nobl/#

----------------------------------
New PoS wallet is ready!
----------------------------------

Since new wallet was already announced on our OP page I am going to advertise it here.

You can download new wallet and CPU mine coins with it now. Also you will be able to stake any CPU mined coins before the switch.
However if you imported any private keys into it money will be distributed later today, after block #534500 on PoW blockchain. So exactly after this block snapshot of blockchain will be taken using fairglu's script (kudos!) and money will be distributed.

Windows version: http://noble.ilikebtc.com/NobleCoin-Qt-v2.0.0.zip
Mac version: http://coinmagi.org/files/Noblecoin/Noblecoin-Qt.dmg  (thank you Joe!)
Source: https://github.com/eagleflies/noblecoin/

New/PoS block explorer: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/nobles/#

To start CPU mining type in console:
Code:
setgenerate true 1

"1" means wallet will use one CPU core for mining. You can use more cores if you want.

Are you in touch with the NOBL pools? I contacted 2 multipools who often miss such announcements and continue mining after the fork.

Two biggest pools Lifeforce and CoinMine.pw know about switch to PoS. Do we have more?

I sent a mail to coinmine.pw and hash-to-coins.com yesterday. There's a notice on both pools about the end of PoW today.

PoA:

Ok, so there has been some confusion on the spreadsheet, I thought it was sorted by date and time, it wasn't! It just meant some people hadn't been paid, or not paid enough.

Sorted now Smiley

Total paid out: 192,000
Total entrants: 30
Funds remaining: 1074037.15105929 NOBLE

Have had a couple of people not put in NobleCoin addresses (maybe they thought they were getting 10k btc?!)

If either of these are yours drop me a PM with a NobleCoin address (and the submitting email address so I can verify)

I have installed 3 today, 2 worked out of the box and one I had to start using CMD and pass it the node. It worked fine then though

What wallet version are you using?

you can check this by issuing 'getinfo' command:

    "version" : "v2.0.0.0",
    "protocolversion" : 89000,
    "walletversion" : 60000,

if this is fine you can also try another node: addnode=194.181.3.79

What are the nodes that it wallet should be connecting to?

Try 104.236.195.137

Still no connection with the new wallet, even with this node.

What wallet version are you using?

you can check this by issuing 'getinfo' command:

    "version" : "v2.0.0.0",
    "protocolversion" : 89000,
    "walletversion" : 60000,

if this is fine you can also try another node: addnode=194.181.3.79

Yes, getinfo gives the same information as yours.
The command addnode IP add doesn't work in the debug console. How to name the config file, noblcoinpos like the folder it created?

"noblecoin.conf" is config file name

Yes, you need to provide '-addnode' during startup so if you are under windows you can create shortcut to your wallet and modify it to include '-addnode=...'

What are the nodes that it wallet should be connecting to?

Try 104.236.195.137

Still no connection with the new wallet, even with this node.

What wallet version are you using?

you can check this by issuing 'getinfo' command:

    "version" : "v2.0.0.0",
    "protocolversion" : 89000,
    "walletversion" : 60000,

if this is fine you can also try another node: addnode=194.181.3.79

Yes, getinfo gives the same information as yours.
The command addnode IP add doesn't work in the debug console. How to name the config file, noblcoinpos like the folder it created?

"noblecoin.conf" is config file name

Yes, you need to provide '-addnode' during startup so if you are under windows you can create shortcut to your wallet and modify it to include '-addnode=...'

Ok, found the mistake. It created a folder NobleCoinPOS in Appdata/Roaming. I created a conf file and names it Noblcoin.conf but that caused an error message. So I tried it with the config file's name NoblecoinPos.

I deleted the old wallet's folder and the newly created one, started the wallet and created noblecoin.conf. Now I'm connected. Thanks!!
