Rofo, any chance to get an "Alias" system integrated into the wallet?
For instance you register your e-mail adres and then people can send Noble to your e-mail adress instead of the annoying and confusing random string of letters and numbers we have now. Would be awesome for newcomers!
I have 1 word "anonymity" and 1 statement ... NO BLOODY WAY!!! I don't think anonymity and a coin that is supposed to be transparent and honest go hand in hand TBH The Development and development team of the coin was and is to be transparent, not who I am where I am from, I did not sign up to noble coin to have my details spread around ... thats what cryptocurrency means to almost everyone involved; is a way to hold / store funds, buy and sell without the grubby hands of the taxing governments involved, by putting this feature in you are 1 HUGE step closer to that, Why the hell do you want my email address  why do you want to know more about me than you need to... as far as you are all concerned I am a bunch of random numbers and letters and I like that idea, I have never ripped anyone off in my life and don't intend on starting too, but lets consider Noble hit 50c a piece ... then I am holding millions of dollars of coins... for one hacker will want to use my email address to attack my computer to get at them ... second the government will want to have their cut ... No way screw that !! As far as I know aliasses are not public in the blockexplorer? And e-mail was just an example so friends can easily send you coins by entering your e-mail instead of random numbers and letters. I am very much against this ... I want random letters and numbers... no emails, nothing at all personal ... just too easy from that point to hack or track .. and that I am sure is not ok with many people, not just myself ... Yeah, this alias feature could be useful. There are already web services doing that (meaning that the feature is beeing used): https://www.bitiom.com/ for bitcoins http://coinly.info/faq.php for altcoins But I've never heard before about integrating this into the wallet. Should be quite easy to code, and pretty innovative in the area of altcoins? |

Yeah I read that after I replied. Doh. So is there a link to all the new wallet additions currently? There are a bunch of things like I said I'm incorporating into the wallet (this shows just IRC & block explorer). You might recognize the current colour scheme from another coin (playing with a few designs, I really like the CAIx & new Cloak wallet also - we'll probably offer a version of them all). I'm looking at wallet private messaging and market data tabs next. My biggest concern is code auditing and making sure a plethora of new features don't cause unwanted forks or are security leaks for ourselves or for exchanges. The github is below. It's a placeholder at the moment until the PoS fork is successful so we can merge wallet/protocol and follow best github/development practices (our current github looks less than ideal from a security & professional standpoint). If anyone wants to toy with it/bug hunt and/or play around adding additional features go for your life. I'm more than happy to offer generous bounties. There are still a number of design/functionality bugs and the IRC can be fairly unstable (might be an environment issue I think). The wallet github is a side-project (but still relatively stable) and a placeholder until we get PoS out. The protocol/hard fork is being handled externally by someone more experienced with PoS than myself. My work is prioritised elsewhere but it is indirectly related and will benefit us in the long run, that's all I can really say. I'm hoping to push out a wallet upgrade (non-mandatory) that is more stable/design polished every couple of weeks (non source, compiled version). I LOVE new features in a wallet. I followed the progress of SilkCoin wallet for a moment (never bought a SC though, fortunately) and I liked the design.
- The sooner, the better, but indeed, a security audit would be necessary. But it involves hiring an auditor to inspect the code, right?
- The possibility of choosing the version of the wallet app would also be great! (just between colour themes OR between some more/less sophisticated versions with different functions).

Thanks guys. We got a lot of things we're trying to work on moving forward, which is why we're beginning to scount for more paid development and team members longterm. It should all come hitting in one after another later in the year.
I really like the idea of teams and developers trusted and paid to work on their 'specialities' across multiple coins that offer something different.
