Why wouldnt you want to be licensed? Are you going to scam people?
Aint it going to be better if the players know they are safer at your side? Heck that is going to pull more investors rather than them having doubts and fear whenever they play at your casino. Check your country rules.

It depends on where you want to host the website and it kinda doesnt matter if it's bitcoin gambling or fiat money you need a licence in either cases. Some countries, have easier procedures just like Malta.

It depends, there are some online casinos who are hosted on countries that do not care about it after all. Like Panama, Guyanas, and so on. I was researching the idea to open up an online casino way back (2-3 years ago), that time it needed all sort of licensing from the country it would operate from, how does it work with a bitcoin casino?
It clearly depends on the fiat, if you are going to use a casino who allows people to deposit money from a wire transfer, then you will OBVIOUSLY... need a license from your country. It depends on where you want to host the website and it kinda doesnt matter if it's bitcoin gambling or fiat money you need a licence in either cases. But 6 of 10 online casinos do not have a license right now, because they can be created even by a 14 year's old guy.

Yes, I would imagine that you do need a license. I am not a lawyer or anything but in my wildest dreams it doesn't make sense that you'd be legally allowed to open one without one.
Now, you could obviously open one without a license, but that is just asking for trouble with the law and if you are investing millions or even hundreds of thousands, getting a lawyer to handle this for you is both a trivial, and necessary matter.

I agree on you.I think if you want to make your bitcoin casino be legal, then it must abide with the proper law.Because anything that generates income like the businesses of today have gone and pass through legally. And with that,it would be easier for you to invite and attract customers to play in your online bitcoin casino without much hussles to do.

Running a casino with a license isn't always a guarantee that the casino isn't going to scam people. There are also enough examples of Bitcoin casino's that are operating without a license without scamming people. Stuff like this should really be reviewed by an actual lawyer.

I have no ideas in this since I have not yet tried even play in gambling sites. But as far as I know from others it never needs licensed since bitcoin is also has no license because if there will be then I know there will be great tax of that, so it's maybe no.

That's right, running a casino license isn't a guarantee of good casino because most people can go to the extreme of scamming people and setting up a casino with fake license. But yet, we still need to differentiate a good casino from the bad. If only all casino owners can use their TRUE identity to open the casino so that they don't get to run with people's money.

It's true that licensing doesn't always guarantee that the casino is not going ti scam people, but again licensing is a factor that many gamblers and players consider before they actually invest their money to try their luck. That's true ont only for casino business but for majority of the businesses as well. It works as a feel food quotient for that particular company. Also when a proper licensing is obtained using real details of the owner, it marks the good intention ofbthe business as a whole.

It depends on which country you are in right now. Because already bitcoins are banned in many countries and gambling isn’t considered well in our society. So if you are trying to open a bitcoin gambling casino in a country where these both things are banned, then no license is required but you must be ready to eat food of jail anytime. So best is to go away from this harmful game.

Gambling license is not so easy to obtain.Curacao license cost about 36k$.but you will need to spend some money on lawyers etc There is only few countries what are blocking unlicensed gambling sitesi If you want to run crypto casino much better idea is to stay without license All is about customers trust not license

Hi there Brilliant, this was just what I was looking for. Thank you for sharing the resources, I have already utilised the information and am moving forward with my project nicely. Thanks again, ----------------- In terms of attaining a license for a Casino, that offers Bitcoin as a payment process, I recommend taking a look at Softswiss, who have already helped quite a few white label casino providers in setting up the software and licensing. More details can be viewed below: https://www.softswiss.com/knowledge-base/bitcoin-casino-software/I would also take a look at the following resources, as they have helped me considerably in preparing to set up a new casino brand: http://www.igbaffiliate.com/articles/white-label-casinoMore detailed - licensing Data can be reviewed below: Antillephone, Authorized and Regulated by the Government of Curacao. Websites / domains can be checked with this particular regulator with the following https://validator.antillephone.com/validate?domain=www.betchain.comBetchain is just one example for a live reference Hope this helps

It's good to have a proof that you are a legit casino gambling site, so even if you encounter such issue you can present your papers to prove them that you are a legit company, it's better to have than do not have one at all, and try to get your license from a country where your project is located.

if you want to open an online casino and your country requires a license, and you want everything legal, you have to have it. If you think it is not profitable for you then do not open it, but by the way, if you feel it is better to change the country and open it, so do it.

By the way, does someone know the costs range for a gambling licence issued by Panama? (specifically designed for crypto casinos) My casino website is in development, hosted in Panama servers.
Also, does someone know what is Panama's policy regarding to cryptocurrencies gambling?

I think yes because an online casino is required to apply for a gambling license so they allow them to process payments. But I dont know if its the same when opening an online Bitcoin Casino because fiat money is used for betting in a online casino I dont know if they allow to used crypto. But I think there are almost the same but not the way of payment.

I think it is still in need for you to get a license before opening ot operating a Bitcoin gambling site or online gambling site because having a license to operate gives legitimacy to your site and it will help you to encourage people to dive into your site because they are comfortable and will entrust your site for the reason that you have license so the intention for running an online Bitcoin casino seems to legible and safe. People for sure are looking for trusted site and that will lead them for a search on a Bitcoin casino that have license for security and assurance that their funds will be safe at your site. Better secure first a license before running the site just for legal purposes. Better do also consult a legal expert for laws regarding that and search into which countries your players are target because some countries prohibit existence of online casinos.

Indeed. Getting a license is the first thing that you need before operatinf an online bitcoin casino, so that gamblers and crypto users will know if a your gambling site is legitimate and safe. No one would like to play in a gambling site if they don't have any license or they just create a fake license just to scam other people.
