when someone sees an update on reddit or blog, he must link it in this thread. It's the same thing if a news is release in this thread, someone have to link it on reddit to reach most of the community.

Yea, the developers don't seem to post here at all anymore, I guess mostly after constant trolling about how the block reward and other things should be changed. It's not even clear who is still actually working on the project though; boristhespider hasn't posted for like 2+ months, a413321 seems still active on basecamp, jedigras occasionally chimes in on reddit, and othe is always lurking on irc, but I agree would be nice to have someone chime in here once in a while and keep the first post up to date.

What do you think to adapt Proof of capacity (PoC) which is included in burst coin. In few words you can mine with your hdd instead of GPU. No asics, very fair coin distribution, and less energy consumption. I need to dump all my vtc and i am all in in Burst coin now its revolution.

I'm also in burst, but I wouldn't dump vtc for it.

good innovation but let see where it goes, it's not because it's not that it's better. We need to wait and see what the dev of this coin do with it.

Mining with hard drives? why don't we just give all the coins to cloud based storage companies in the first block and then they can sell us the coins? it will be very fair, i promise.

We need constant updates on this thread.

You don't have to worry about Vertcoin devs.  They may not post a lot but they do what they say they are going to do. For example "Private Transactions" was promised and delivered on time. Impressive.

Well said. Vertcoin as indeed one of the best dev teams around. They don't talk much, but in fact they deliver a lot.

We must consider, however, that vertcoin, for it unique features is the kind of coin that appeals for newcomers on cryptos. For that reason, I must agree with djnocide. We, as a community, can give a hand and help sharing the news throughout all social sites. This could be done at twitter and facebook as well.

Unfortunately I don't have a connection all the time, but would be more then happy to help when I do

New (reincarnated) exchange https://cryptorush.in/ now trading vertcoin. I would advise to trade with caution, considering their history, however they are purportedly working to repay all debts owed to people from when the original owners got "hacked".

New owner KingDragon is pretty much always available at #cryptorush on freenode if you'd like to chat. If you had an account (and coins) on the original exchange, and you sign up with original email address (or file support ticket), you can see your balances from March when the shut down occurred.

Anyway, VTC market added yesterday, no trades yet, but I have a few coins for sale a bit under current market price, if you want to come make first market trade and buy my coins Smiley (or sell me some even cheaper Wink ).

Edit: Also, I have checked, and as of about a week ago both BTC and LTC withdrawals were functioning ok Wink

That's awesome news. I had some coins there too. Maybe I can get them back. I did check the site few days ago and thought that it would never be on again.
Thanks for sharing.

Please dont be ignorant :/ Read first before you write shit like that. First you need generate plot file. It use your CPU and RAM. For normal computer generate 1TB plot is about two days. After that you can start mining. If you want generate plot with size of Petabytes yoe need lot of RAM lot of time and lot of CPU cycles. That is why distribution is fair. You cant start mining only becouse you have lot off free space.

Guys,

I use 3 sites to check variations on price, volume and market cap.
I understand the metrics used by coingecko and the ones used by coinmarketcap but couldn't find any reference to the metrics used by cryptmarketcap

Are you familiar with that site and/or do you know what metrics do they use to rank a coin?
Also, are you using any other site?

Cheers.

Looks like they just sort them by market cap, the same as coinmarketcap, except they don't list as many coins, so vert is up much higher  Roll Eyes

We are much higher at coingecko too. But they use other metrics (such as community, and others).

By the way, nice post at reddit:

Why do you do this? Wink

For those worried about the Dev team don't.

A few like Boris have been absent for a good reason. As he mentioned a while back he had to step back for personal reasons. I for one hope everything is going well and we see him on the forum again soon enough. It was nice to have an outlet to the devs.

I've said it once and I'll say it again. I'd rather have devs who get projects done on time and with great results than devs who talk a lot but get nothing done. That being said it would be nice to have both but I know they're working their asses off to meet deadlines.

All CC are recovering after a bubble that popped at the start of the year. The pressure is building and we're ready for a rise again. I expect things to look very different in the following months. We will see more of the Alt winners rising and the losers vanishing.

As a supporter of VTC you need to focus on the long term goals and what you can do to help perpetuate the coin. Get involved with initiatives, spread the word to friends, go outside our friendly confines of our sub on reddit and our thread here and get people interested about VTC.

The coin really sells itself. We just need to make an introduction.
