I'm curious what makes folks think VTC may get up to BTC value; considering that LTC never did.

I can see this eventually vying for LTC's place, but I'm not sure about BTC.

Does anyone have a valuation write up for VTC?

On a side note, PANDA's forum thread is still like listening to a bunch of frat boys argue over a misplaced Playboy.

Poor bastards think they'll actually get rich with it.

Don't like this logo, previously in this thread was introduced much awesome coin identity design.

Yep, for me the original logo is best, clean & simple ... i would not change it

Yes, not sure whose idea was it to change anything...
But I guess that is why we had to vote Smiley

Watching Wolong's block chain on his wallet is rather hilarious, dumping coins like he's got a sieve for a pocket.

He's trying to pump his own coin to keep it from dying off.  Several of the IPO investors have already said they made their profit and aren't going to bother buying any more now that they've cashed out.

PANDA should be dead before the end of March.

There is no registration required, visit the site http://e-pool.net for mining information.!

Happy mining!

I for one love the new logo. Sure the original had a certain charm to it, but this one looks clean and professional. Congrats to the designer(s)!

Things are looking good for Vertcoin! Hashrate is on the rise, prices are looking northward, it's a good time to be a Verter. On a side note, after seeing a few points of success mining PANDA and dumping for VTC, I decided to try it out. I now have 60K+ in PANDA that I'm struggling to get rid of.

I feel sullied and unusual.

Hi all,

I am looking for an individual who can set up a multipool for a few coins for me.
It will be a private pool for a private project, so your discretion is appreciated.

What I need is this:

GPU mining set up for MMC, MAX, and PTS (please see 1gh.com as an example) along with CPU mining.
* front end not necessary, but backend gui would be nice to have for comfortable management of the pool

(your support for further coin additions/troubleshooting will as well be needed - prices can be negotiated at time of need)
* I do have linux knowledge and have set up servers before, but never a mining pool

Each coin will be mined by only one user account (but multiple miners pointed to it)
The pool will be mining only one coin at a time.

I must be able to switch which coin is mined at any given time from the back-end interface of the pool administration

The pool will be used by approximately 500 miners (cpu and gpu mix) continuously, with peaks of up to 2,000
(the server needs to be able to handle this load, and you need to know how to tweak the settings to optimize performance)
Currently have space on DigitalOcean, but if that will not be sufficient, you need to let me know before we proceed.

This pool will have its own custom built GUI miner (similar to one that ypool.net has)
The flow is this:

1) user downloads pool.GUI.miner

   a) pool.GUI.miner has built in GPU and CPU miners for the coins
b)pool.GUI.miner detects if the user PC has a usable GPU or not and determines the optimal mining
settings (if no GPU present on system, half of the CPU resources need to be used for mining)
c)pool.GUI.miner adds itself to PC start up and starts mining whenever the computer is stared.

2) pool.GUI.miner connects to POOL sending work over stratum protocol

3) POOL receives work and divides rewards it into two wallets/pool accounts (I must be able to set the
percentages for each coin manually at any given time (this can work as a regular pool fee implementation)

I must be able to generate reports on all pool data/traffic/rewards/payouts and so on.

YOUR REWARD FOR THIS IS BTC0.10

Once this is built, I would like to implement VTC merge mined with UltraScryptCoin, but this is low prio atm.

Smiley PLEASE PM ME WITH YOUR QUESTIONS Smiley

I would think a project like this would be more like 10BTC

I'm currently mining Vertcoin, my miner (the miner converted to work for Vertcoin) shows a hashrate of about 340KH/s. I've tried 2 pools and both consistently only show about 100-150KH/s. What's going on?

Just ignore them guys, it's not worth your time.

Devs , that is the status of fully funded projects?

- animation
- PR material

Are they close to completion? Will we see something new next week?

Thanks in advance

Animation, I have seen an initial sample of. It's not complete yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if something was released as soon as next week. PR material, we are in discussions on - it's about how we organise, and fundamentally about what our message is - we need to ensure we get maximum value from any PR expenditure, so we are discussing at the moment what should go in our PR materials. Things are moving along.

Thanks for responding Boris, much appreciated. Also, I wanted to see what is your opinion on this: do you think it's a good idea to add links for 2 available VTC profitability calculators on Vertcoin.org page? Also, now there is available hardware comparison list, maybe add that too?

Calculator links:
http://www.verters.com/vertcoin-mining-calculator
http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/vertcoin-mining-calculator

Hardware comparison list:
http://www.verters.com/vertcoin-hardware-list

Another item, I was wondering if we could have something like an official recurring weekly status update from the dev team? Nothing fancy, just a short post (or long if you have the time), about the current developments, projects, statuses etc...

Maybe it's better to have something like this, so that the whole community can have visibility on. I believe this would help miners/traders/investors who are potentially considering joining VTC ecosystem make a better informed decision.

Just an idea...

I'm really hoping for the main site or at least bitcointalk dev posts to come up something like this.

Boris or anyone else from the dev team?

Hi sorry for the delay in responding to this. We're putting some project management tools in place at the moment. Once those are in place and the kinks in the systems are ironed out, it'll be much easier to provide comprehensive updates on what's going on. We plan to get this happening within the next week or two.

I use Cudaminer. It shows the same rate, as the pool.

Which miner and which pool do you actually use?

Great, thanks for the info. Looking forward to seeing more regular updates, that way all of us will have a more clear picture of what is going at the moment and what the future brings.
