I really don't like the idea of people who develop coins and then ask for payment for services in other coins...
The least you should do is ask for payment in your own coin, to build validity

I don't care about premine 1% is just small percentage comparable to other crypto currency who have more than that. Mousecoin is here to stay!  Smiley

1% premine, eh? 5,000,000,000*1/100=50,000,000

50,000,000 premined mice.

I'll pass. Good luck to all the suckers who'll fall in this mousetcrap.

This

I don't care about premine 1% is just small percentage comparable to other crypto currency who have more than that. Mousecoin is here to stay!  Smiley

Pools having payout "problems" so have stopped mining this. If any other well known pool operators start something, I will come back.

The problem has been resolved Tongue

Ah, great - you'll be sending me the 250,000 MOSC that I haven't been paid then?

Or not.

I have been mining this for the last couple of days and have been getting good amount of mousecoins. I am happy for the low diff and the pool. What I am worried about now is the lack of activity of the dev here in the forum.

Decided to give this one a try.... mining on the pool with an ancient (9 year old) Dell computer using the CPU. Let's see what kind of results I get.

How long you mine? Luck is involved, sometimes you go hours without finding a block sometimes you get multiple blocks in minutes...just how it rolls sometimes.

I have 0.7 MH/s, and I have some very long rounds - more than hour, but average blocks speed is OK.
But, also...  around 20% of blocks rejected Sad
So, I mine solo just for fun. Cheesy

Pool's working great!

That's the newest trick people ! You don't premine a coin but leave it almost die so that you can mine lots of it at 0.1 difficulty (as it is at the moment) and then resurrect the coin making lots of money Cheesy !

Don't forget about local threads!

Stupid Chinese guys still waiting giveaways

How can we revive this coin ?
1. Make site (easy, I can do it)
2. Pools (easiest - already exsist some pools, but no ppl)
3. Chain explorer (who can do it?)
4. Giveaways / faucet / PR
5. Some shitty exchangers (not easy)
6. Services
7. Add to github and upgrade sources (checkpoints, bitcoin upgrades etc.)
8. Going to space (upper, than moon)

It's so easy  Grin

No, this coin's problem is that it is (or, alternatively, has been infected with) a wallet stealer. A Russian wallet stealer. What a "coincidence" that the last posters in this thread, bumping it, seem to be Russians. Hoping to get some victims to download the client, perhaps?

FACT: There were hundreds of thousands of unnecessary deaths by December 2020 due to the censorship of all effective treatments (most notably ivermectin) in order to obtain EUA for experimental GT spike protein injections despite spike bioweaponization patents going back about a decade, and the manufacturers have 100% legal immunity despite long criminal histories.

Well first of all the first post in three years answered a three year old question so you might be in the wrong site and thread.

This one has current info on mice https://bitcoingarden.org/forum/index.php?topic=12494.0

100 billion mice will stake about once a week so try to have blocks as big as one trillion which should stake about once a day.

When you start the wallet it should automatically create a Mousecoin.conf with only one addnode. That alone works for me but if it don't work for you then use the info provided by kprell40 to edit the conf file and update the list of addnodes.

The wallet strarts but doesnt create that file Mousecoin.conf  ?

Ok when you first start mice wallet some files are created in C:>users>name(or admin)>AppData>Roaming scroll through this roaming folder until you find a folder called Mousecoin and double click.

If you can not find the AppData folder then you need to click on the view tab above file explorer and put a check mark on the box that says hidden files. Now you can find the AppData folder.

Once you are in the Mousecoin folder create a new text file from notepad and paste in the following info:

listen=1
server=1
maxconnections=500
rpcuser=yourusername
rpcpassword=frAqBc8Wsa1xVPfvJcrgRYwTiiu
port=10092
rpcport=10091
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1
addnode=199.26.184.214:10092
addnode=134.255.220.128:10092
addnode=134.255.227.59:10092
addnode=149.56.154.75:10092
addnode=163.172.189.215:10092
addnode=172.111.200.54:10092
addnode=176.212.245.226:10092
addnode=185.2.100.251:10092
addnode=198.187.28.18:10092
addnode=31.214.149.227:10092
addnode=5.164.7.163:10092

After that comes the tricky part, with notepad still open click on file navigate to save as and select it. Rename the new text as Mousecoin.conf and the immediately under file name go to save as type. The drop down box will give you 2 options select the second which says all files then hit save and now you are all done.
If you don't select all files then you end up with something that looks like this Mousecoin.conf.txt If you did it right then the file is without the .txt file type and looks like Mousecoin.conf as conf is now the file type. The above conf example came directly from the wallet with the exception of the addnodes that I had found from novaexchange

I think they call this a buy phase in the invest world. If you control the majority of the supply then you get to determine the price you will sell at. I think that's the point of it...

This coin is already over three years old...
If devs don't want it no more then we can gather as a community to give incentive to a Dev that does.
I will personally give 1 trillion if some Dev can keep this coin active. A high number cryptocoin like this one is useful to teaching future crypto users how all this works. Education programs can be in this coins future but only if we want it...

It is not possible to stake this coin past 900 trillion on a single wallet. The balance becomes negative and the only fix is to send coins to a different wallet.

issue is when the input is too large/too old.
so you could split coins in multiple addresses, inputs on different addresses will not combine.

it's an interesting issue,
i've created a thread to discuss it here

The issue for me and many other users isn't the large inputs, it is the actual limit of coins that can be held on one dat file. The limit is 900 trillion. Any more than that you get stuck with a negative balance that corrects only if you send coins away to a completely different wallet.

The last few posts on this thread will help me explain the problem:
https://bitcoingarden.org/forum/index.php?topic=12494.45

As for the staking issue I solved mine by adding these two lines to the conf file

stakesplitthreshold=20000000000000
stakecombinethreshold=5000000000000

This allows any amount over 20 trillion to split into smaller blocks upon staking. This works just fine, staking every hour until I reach the 900 trillion total amount limitation. After that point the wallet will incorrectly read a negative number until I send a few trillion away to a different wallet.

So to reiterate, this particular problem is not the input size, but the actual total limit of coins that can sit in your wallet.

Once the total passes 900 trillion it goes negative then stops staking. Coins are still there but it won't read correctly until you send enough coins away to read under 900 trillion.

oh that's cool.
what happens if you divided your 900 trillion (lol) into 9 different addresses (for example),
the wallet would give -ve value but you can see positive balance in coin control ?

Each individual input will display a positive balance but collectively it will still read a negative with no possible way to continue staking.
I hate to have to admit it but this wallet is seriously broken.

But then again I didn't exactly try nine addys, I tried three and concluded that it wouldn't matter if I had 100 addys, the outcome would still be the same. I'll try nine the next time the wallet is full and see what happens.

nine isnt really a magic number or anything, just trying to get an idea where the problem might lie,
if three didnt work, then it seems that the overall wallet balance is the primary reason why staking doesnt work.

it should be straight forward enough to fool the wallet, just a matter of time and doing it :p

can you add
debug=1 to your conf file, then send some output from your debug.log (in yr datadirectory) please Smiley

We are using version v1.0 same as nova.
This very issue was raised on the github five days ago. https://github.com/MousecoinDev/Mousecoin/issues/1

Wasn't aware there was a second wallet but I doubt it has the answer we're looking for.

Since I have found this error, everytime I start the wallet the following pop-up occurs;
Warning: error reading wallet.dat! All keys read correctly, but transaction data or address book entries might be missing or incorrect.

Anyway thanks for taking the time to look at this. If you need some coins to play around with I guess I could send you a few(trillion lol) since I'm pretty much flooded here Smiley

Here are a couple errors from the debug log
ERROR: CTransaction::CheckTransaction() : txout total out of range
ERROR: CTransaction::CheckTransaction() : txout.nValue too high

Yea I tried to say that in an earlier post...
The coin disappeared for like three years then showed up on bitcoingarden. Since there is no bitcointalk for mouse we have just been using this one.
