What is the main issue with KYC ? Why is it so bad and frowned upon by people ? Can't it prevent misbehavior by users and be a positive thing in some of the cases ?

My guess is that its often a trust issue. Not everybody is keen on sending their personal information to strangers, especially unlicensed ones. Its good if they are already aware on such possible scenario to happen but it is really prone to abuse and multi-accounting and i agree that there should be an immediate rules for this one if none then we do know the possible situations might happen ahead. There are still some Sportsbook who arent asking out for KYC unless on some circumstances which you do really need to comply if been asked.

A lot can be said in both ways. KYC prevents some cases of misuse and cheating, but in the same way you should ask for it from the very start (the registration) and not wait for people to gamble and IF they win and want to withdraw ask them for KYC. With all the new regulations all over the world, everything a company does should be completely transparent because trust goes both ways.

I played on sportbet.io , they accept BTC and as far as i played last time( more than 8 months ago) they didn't take KYC for Payouts.
So you can give it a check and can ask their live support about their any changes in the withdrawal process or not.

It is also important what kind of reputation a site has. You can write whatever you want in the terms about kyc procedure, but as long as the bookmaker has a good reputation (stories can checked easily on the internet) then that should be a better gauge to decide which site you are going to play on. For me, I also look how a site is looking, if the software is decent and professional, all important points.

Everything is completely relative. It will just depend on how much you win. If you win little, I don't think they'll ask for a KYC anytime soon. If you hit the jackpot, or have a lot of winnings, then the trouble may well start. This will differ per bookmaker / casino and I don't think there is a fixed guideline for this.
