hi ya I'm new so I got to start posting here. I do have a question though. Say a new coin gets released and it gets listed on its first exchange. When is a good time to buy in, since technically the miners set the price right? Should you wait till most dump and see where it settles or buy in asap? Thanks.    Kiss

Your talking about buying from some random person which sounds a bit risky to me. I'm talking about when a coin is first released on like say coined-up or bter.

edit*   Also whats to stop them from charging a arm and a leg

I think this a bad moment to buy. When it's a quality coin like EAC, you should start to buy after the bottom is reached.

Cool I only ask cause coinye is getting a lot of media attention and could blow up like doge. I'm also mining on just 500kh/s right now so its more profit to invest at the bottom and sell at the top.

That's not a bad hashrate!
There's a lot of new people getting in on Coinye.  To benefit from a possible addition of the coin to Cryptsy you can continue mining now or buy from here or a market on Reddit.  It would probably be a good idea to load up Bitcoin on Cryptsy now so you can buy at the right time.  Pay close attention to Cryptsy's Twitter, and buy right as it hits the market.  Then be prepared to sell very soon.  There will be a wild and short price fluctuation most likely.   It's a gamble, as the market it hits might not even be Cryptsy.
