1. Use random passwords for each pool/exchange and DO NOT use the same password for more than 1 pool/exchange
 a. You can also use different usernames if you feel like it
2. If you can use 2 factor authentication, do it. Seriously, just get it. If it's for your phone you should be good to go, if it's on an email make sure that email doesn't have a password even remotely similar to the exchange or pool (see number 1)
3. Don't be an idiot. Never agree to let someone use a program like team viewer to do a deal with you
4. Scan wallets for viruses before downloading them, and/or run them in a virtual system
5. Don't keep tons of coins on a pool, even if you are 100% safe with passwords and the like, a pool can still go down/be hacked/run by a scammer. Put your auto-payout to as low as possible.
6. Don't click on suspicious links(again, scan with a program like malwarebytes, it works very nicely)

99% of this is common sense or something you could have found using Google. I find this section has trouble using Google search for anything and needs to be spoon fed, if I missed anything please feel free to add. Now stop getting scammed you noobs and use proper precautions.
