We want to start by reassuring you that the DigiByte Foundation has heard you, and we agree: It's time for some PR and Marketing!
We have heard that you want somebody who can really take the DigiByte name and branding to the next level, and we can see your hunger to contribute both with time and with crowdsourcing.
With this in mind it brings us great pleasure to announce we are hiring a PR Firm!
In true Digibyte fashion, we do not announce anything until we are "ready", however, we are in the final stages right now of our vetting process and we believe we have found "the one". We have gone through quite the process and have done a lot of due diligence on the parties involved and we are so excited for this next stage in DigiBytes growth.
However, it gets even better than that: We want to start on the 1st of February!
Never being content to rest on our laurels, this gives us approximately 4 days to move on this, and for this, we need your help. DigiByte is a decentralized blockchain, both in technology, ethos, and financing. This is your opportunity to directly be involved in the shaping of DigiByte throughout 2018, and although 4 days is not a long time, we all know just how much our dedicated community can come together and make things happen!
We have both short-term and long-term goals, with 300,000 DigiByte being our immediate goal so that we can give the go-ahead for this firm for a February 1st start, and a 1.6 million DigiByte "Stretch goal" if you were, to allow even more Marketing, advertising, brand refinement and more.

Now we need your help to make this a reality. We need you to spread the word to all your DigiByte friends, family, colleagues, acquaintances, and messaging and social media groups within the next 72 hours! We want to make our starter goal, but we also know just how enthusiastic our community is and so we believe we can make the "stretch" goal too and set DigiByte up for an incredible 2018.
Here's some questions we've already come across while discussing this on Telegram: - What happens with any surplus funds when we go over 1.6 million DigiByte? Anything additional will be invested as much as possible in to marketing and PR for DigiByte, however, anything remaining will eventually go into the main DigiByte Foundation wallet
Who is going to be doing the PR? This will be announced once we've reached the 300,000 DigiByte goal, when we are certain we'll have funding to be able to initiate our first phase of our Marketing plan
What will this PR firm do? They're going to help refine the DigiByte branding and aid us in taking the marketing to the next level with DigiByte, more specifics will come once the firm has been announced
Can my firm be the PR firm? Unfortunately we have already gone through a number of firms, and have spent countless hours over the last several weeks vetting and performing as much due diligence as we can. We believe we have found the best firm to assist us and are not taking any applications at this time.
Is this wallet just to go to the PR firm? This funding will be used for a variety of marketing initiatives, including but not limited to hiring a PR firm.
