I have made a new galaxycoin pool, http://galaxypool.zapto.org
0.5% fee,
PPLNS,
10 minute auto payout

Now, I've gotten this to work by fixing the checkpoint too old error.
Client wallet will still work with this error, but if enough people bug me about it, I'm willing to release the source.

But please try to join this pool to make sure the custom client works, haha.
Lets try to find a block

Happy Hashing

I would like to mine some GLX but my wallet wont go past the checkpoint error. Not much point mining if I cant withdraw the proceeds.

The wallet will still work with that error, don't mind it.

The pool currently is working with a beta wallet I'm working on, that fixes that error

Are you releasing your modifications?

I am unable to get a pool wallet work with this error condition: submitted blocks simply have no mint or confirmations.

I'm planning to take over galaxycoin's development as soon as I know the client can find blocks, and works.
It can send and receive, but I am wondering about the block finding, hence the pool

I've occasionally mined this coin, when it's difficulty has dropped really low. However, it's quite a scary coin, because the client problems described in this thread. Nevertheless, I can confirm that I am able to mine at the various pools, and have coins transferred to my wallet, and am able to transfer them from my wallet to cryptsy. The xfer to cryptsy took over 48 hours, which was a little alarming, but it did eventually succeed. Sadly, it's now worth about 1/10th of what it was a month ago, so not really worth selling at the moment, but the technology is functional.
