[CryptoNight] Forked coins, ASIC resistance and current algorithms

In support of my [CryptoNight] CPU mining guide & coins that will get you a return thread I've decided to create a thread where I will list all of the CryptoNight coins that have forked, type of algorithm they're currently on and if they are ASIC resistant or not.

I hope other people will find this helpful too as I know a lot of people in my CPU mining thread are interested in this.

ETN should fork soon, hopefully - May 30th.
I don't understand why they didn't fork yet, as the majority of ASIC miners have moved to it since Monero forked. See what this lack of action has did to ETN's price...

BCN and XDN didn't go Anti ASIC. Not sure about AEON, don't follow this coin.

As far as I know, BCN & XDN did not fork and aren't ASIC resistant.

I was basing my post on their announcement thread where they were saying that AEON is ASIC resistant.

In the comments from the git repository I see they are talking about adopting more changes from Monero but maybe it isn't related to the changes regarding ASIC resistance but something else.

Ok, I assumed the announcement thread was being updated constantly and that it was recently edited.

Yes, indeed there are some high spikes in difficulty and that could be related to ASICs. I have removed AEON from the list, will add it back when they fork and everything was successful.

AEON is asics friendly, it is written in one of the mining pool.
anyway, wait till electroneum fork 30th may and all asics will be on AEON.

Yeah, I agree it will ruing the coin even more than it is right now 

I don't get why these guys don't implement ASIC resistance as soon as it is known that people are mining it with ASICs. I mean that should be top priority unless you want the coin to drop in value considerably and also be vulnerable to a possible attack on the blockchain.

I've added in a new coin that has forked to implement ASIC resistance. It is called: FONERO (FNO) and it is a fork of Monero (XMR).

You have a neat list that is probably worth some merits (would give some if i had any left). Might i just make some little recommendations that could potentially make it even better?

• It would be useful if there was a link to the coin's website / ANN thread / or any sort of reference
• I know price is volatile and what you post today may be invalid tomorrow, but at first glance the price of a coin could be a good way to filter which coins to research first
• If no price, maybe a link to an exchange where it's available
