Local banks are the way to go. If I'm going to earn 0% interest in my checking account, I might as well put it in a local bank. At least when they screw up, they can usually fix it right then, instead of referring it up the corporate ladder to some analyst halfway the country that makes arbitrary account decisions.

Yes. They ask the question, and if you say "yes," the ceiling opens up and balloons drop down. They also put a star next to your account name in their databases to give you the best customer service.

I lol'd to this...  

While I typically think Bank of America is the worst for almost all banking services, I think they may be the easiest in regards to no hassles with bitcoin

Tell that to Roman of Bitfloor fame.  They closed his account that he was using for (out-of-state) deposits with no warning.

I also have a friend that had his account closed when he tried to connect it to Coinbase.  He got a check in the mail.

I can see how it would screw with their accounting if BFL is a huge account and they have a bunch of customers taking out loans to buy mining equipment from them.
