So this activates all possible cores to mine.

However, can I do this from every wallet console? I know it works with XPM coin but is it just XPM coin?

I checked out this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260049.0 and wasn't sure how to apply it to the coin I wanted to test it on. For instance, what to put in the add node section. If it's possible to bypass all of that complication than I would much rather just type setgenerate true -1. Tongue

Thanks!

I have done it with all my QTs, so I assume it works for them all. I'm not sure what you are wondering about the add node section, but to add a node in the console you type;
Code:
addnode 123.123.123 add

Nodes are your connections to the network and has nothing to do with mining itself

In the conf.file you type;
Code:
addnode=123.123.123

To clarify if confused; you change 123.123.123 to the actual node/address Tongue

Is your CPU good enough to solomine XPM?

yes it works for pretty much all coins, but im not sure how beneficial it is with most CPUS, ive mostly just used my CPU to top up whatever pool i was gpu mining

Thanks guys. My CPU isn't great for solo mining XPM, no.

I've read that I could be getting up to 2 chains per day but I'm only getting .06 with a i7 3770. Have no idea why. Sad

The difficulty multiplied not long ago. From 9.xxx.. to 10.xxx... My XPM income dropped by more than 70 % Tongue. Try pool mining at beeeeer.org, I am very pleased with them. Currently I am mining DTC(same algo/concept as XPM) at http://dtc.gpool.net/. There is language tab at the top right corner in case the site is in Chinese

It's really hard to solomine at high difficulty, it's better to mine in a pool!
