Will a google spreadsheet be setup for us to follow payouts/shares etc? Thanks and keep up the good work!

This round is closed and will begin hashing tomorrow.

R24 will be used for the newer price / amount of hashpower.

I just bought into R23 based on the high recs you guys have and some personal recs that were made to me...

I just looked at the stats and ran some calculations and I am worried I may have made a mistake with this one.  Please don't take this the wrong way.. I am not trying to flame anyone here; I should have asked these questions before buying and I take full responsibility if my $$ are lost.  But I know dz has a great rep so I was really surprised when I ran numbers (yes, *after* I purchased I know this was ass-backwards).  I am just trying to understand if I made a bad investment - and to learn from it if so.  If my assumptions or calculations are wrong (I hope they are), please tell me!

From the stats page .. it looks like R23 is earning only about 0.1152 BTC per day gross and has earned even less - a total of .5772 - during the past 7 days to date (Jan 22-28).  At that rate, R23 will have only about .9228 gross BTC at the end of the month in 3 days.

1) Will there be a payout on Feb 1?  I hope not, because is there is it appears that hosting (and to a much lesser extent management fees) will consume about 50% of the revenue (or will this be pro-rated for the partial month)?

2) .1152 BTC per day seems really low for 540 Gh/s of hashing power.  I have a 150 Gh/s (partially defective) btmine hasher and 2 180 Gh/s antminer s1's that I just put up yesterday and they earned almost .19 BTC in the past 24 hours - they have about the same hashing power as this GB (550 - 560 Gh/s) (running a mix of Eligius, 50btc, Ghash and Slush's pools).  Also, the statistical (long run average) return should be closer to .248 BTC per day, according to the calculators.  Are there any reasons why is the per diem return is seemingly so low on the R23 miners, and should we expect that this will represent future performance?

3) I am concerned about the hosting fee .. at $700 per month, it appears that there will not be any profit at all in R23 even with the best assumption of per diem earnings (.248 per day).  I ran the calculator out for 90 days (so there would be exactly $2,100 of hosting fees, assuming pro-ration for partial months) and it looks like the entire profit margin of the R23 will be eaten up by the hosting fees!  And that is assuming the much higher statistical rate of .248 BTC/day under the current difficulty .. if we are only getting .1152 its going to be loss of over $1,000 (for the entire round).  Worse, after only two more difficulty increases the revenue from these machines probably won't be enough to pay hosting fees and I assume the round is shut down then and our capital is lost (which would be the end of February I think).

FWIW, the calculator I use is the webified version of Zodiac1233's calculator (http://bitcoindetailedcalculator.appspot.com/) taking the entire round at once.  Output from this app follows my Q4 below.

4) If my numbers are correct, this round seems to only make sense if there were a LOT more hashing power for the same hosting fee.. I just don't see how 540 Gh/s is going to cut it with $700 a month in hosting fees at least at these difficulty levels.  Is there any way to add to this round (more Gh/s) without increasing hosting fees substantially?

Here is the output from the above-referenced calculator:

For these values ...

     MHash : 540000.0
     Difficulty : 2.193847870174279E9

     Watt : 0.0
     Electricity cost (USD/kwh) : 0.0
     USD/BTC rate : 850.0
     Equipment / contract (USD): 6640.0

You can expect ...

[snip]

1) There will be a payout on the 1st, management fee's are taken as a percentage after hosting is paid, hosting is paid twice a month. As this round started on January 23rd hosting only needs to be paid from the 23rd to the 1st of February which only comes out to $175 converted to BTC when payouts are getting done. Pro rating is only done in this instance, every other payout will be 1/2 the monthly fee on the 1st and 15th (this references to February where it only has 28 days)

2) This is data from BTCGuild, we have no control over it, that number can jump or go down depending on the number of blocks found.

3) As of now it looks like there is about a 0.005xxBTC per share based on the BTC deposited into the payout account. It'll be a small payout but its still only ~ 7 days of hashing.

4) More hashrate equals more hosting fee's, unless new hardware comes out that uses less electricity the hosting won't be able to be lowered.

Where is this stats page?  All I can find is this http://www.crypto-ops.com/?page_id=1506 on the archived site.  I'd like to make sure my wallet is accurate, and watch it whir.

Could we have a breakdown of the payout here? Perhaps a post every payout explaining what each share gets and why?

I received a payout but it was significantly less than it should be for the 6 shares I own...

Total BTC up until last night: 0.975559
BTC per share: 0.01951118
I've got six shares 0.01951118*6 = 0.11706708

Hosting which was stated to be 175USD for this first payout = (175/50) *6 = 21 USD = aprox 0.0257 BTC

So my payout should, in theory, be 0.11706708 - 0.0257 = 0.09136708 BTC

Not sure when management fees are taken (2.5%) but I am still way off that in the payout.

I received 0.03255827 BTC which is a a little over a third of what I'd expect it to be.

Please let me know if my maths is off....

https://blockchain.info/address/1CSb2NgfnxtvqDFWzTsaNX2qLmku7kZ1EX sees a value of total payout which seems correct, but my share was definately not correct...

Thank you nonetheless and keep up the good work!

Extra info: My order is R206531661, for 6 shares.  My payout address is 16hShVrnwQNebA1PDFduKkLjEv3fwPi5Yb.

thomas_s thanks for the spreadsheet!

I'm still confused though because your R23 stats page http://www.crypto-ops.com/?page_id=1506 says it has mined 1.043676 BTC and not 0.5.

Am I missing something here?

Payouts are only given on whats in the wallet at the time of payout, only 0.5 BTC was in the wallet at that time
