^  Even 3 - 0 is kinda pushing it (at least for me).  It was the opening game of the tourney, so I was expecting both teams to play with less intensity.  But it looked like one of the teams was sleeping.  Lol.

I didn't watch the game or read the news...  But I assume Saudi Arabia commited stupid errors to let Russia score 5 goals...?

My predictions for today not in our challenge but for the ticket at bookies:
Uruguay to win @1,6 - Without Salah I was thinking about 1:0 or 2:0 for Uruguay but now even high scoring game is an option.
Marroco  not to lose @1,35, I am expecting this one to end with a draw actually, maybe 1:1
Portugal not to lose @1,9 - I am expecting low score result maybe even unpopular 0:0, Spain is a bit of unknown since they sacked the coach so....

It's already happening. You can still join the World Cup pool if you want, but the Premier League Pool is still open. I'll probably create a separate thread for it now the World Cup has started so look out for that.

Héctor Cúper (Egypt coach) said that Salah is ready to play tomorrow...I think he's playing mind games with Uruguay, I mean, the entire world agreed that Salah was not gonna play the , and now out of nowhere the manager says he's fit to play? hmmm, i don't know.

It's a shoulder injury, and mind games only go so far. It might have an impact on the selection, but honestly I doubt it will. Salah is their biggest threat, and they are always going to be wary of him starting anyway. It's also one of the harder opposition to play in my opinion, and if they have any chance they'll need Salah.

It's a shoulder injury, and it's nothing serious anyway. Probably play with an injured shoulder. If anything declaring him 100% fit might protect some of the opposition players from going in particularly hard against him.

He's posted several videos way before the World Cup on his rehabilitation, and looked fairly alright.

It's just been confirmed Salah will start on the bench today. I think Uruguay will have this game comfortably with or without Salah.

got only 16 since I predicted 2-1 for russia , I mean maximum I expected was 3-1 and was like 80% sure that Saudi will score since they have good names

Same I received 16 pts from yesterday's match. I failed to pick the correct team on the free kicks though did you guys hit that curious to know how many points would that give.

The majority of people got 16. The rest probably went for draws. I thought it would be a lot closer with only one or two goals.

Yeah, wasn't working for me either. I wouldn't worry about it though as everybody else likely missed out on it too since it only becomes available an hour or so before kick off. Game's just kicked off now.

Yep, now I look a little silly as he's starting on the bench. Well, my prediction doesn't change really. I think I had it down as 3-1 for Uruguay. But if salah isn't put on early I don't see them scoring.

Unfortunately I did bet for Uruguay Asian -1.00 as I thought Salah wouldn't play and he didn't for first half but nevertheless Egypt played very well the first half by closing every open gap for Uruguay. As for the points it is just the beginning, there is time.

I'm glad Uruguay got that late goal because all my accumulators would have been fucked otherwise  , but Egypt deserved the point at least so shame for them. Game was pretty dull apart from Cavani's three strikes. Had 2-0 down on the predictor so another goal would have been nice, but I'll take the points for a win. Did anyone have the draw or Egypt win? Shame Salah didn't come on because it could have made all the difference, but they probably didn't wanna risk it.

I've also got three accumulators going that needed Uruguay but also Morocco to win, which they should, but I think it will also be a close game like this one was. If Morocco win I'll be happy because I covered my bases with the last game today and have all three outcomes on the Spain vs Portugal game so I can't lose. The draw will get me the most money though.

Hello all friends,,, I am sorry I joined it late but I entered all the invitation codes and I think it is finally working. But FIFA logs me off every time I move to new page, so I managed to put in brackets and predictions until Page 3, but not further.

The points system confused me, but I got zero so far from today. I thought opening was a draw, and I thought today Egypt would win, but I must remember, I know very little about football on the international scene.

The site seems to work better on some browsers than others. They also have an app that seems to be more efficient for me. It's on Google App store and I'm sure it's on iTunes as well so maybe try that if you're having issues. It's best to fill in all your predictions when you get chance just in case you can't get onto the website for whatever reason, but if you can you can always change your scores right up until kick off but best to have at least something down.

^  The app for IOS won't let me log in for some reason.  And the predictor doesn't work if accessed thru the browser (again, in IOS).

Anyway I think I got Egypt vs Uruguay right...

Every thing is working fine for me with Windows 10 Pro or Linux Mint as I have dual boot with Firefox latest browser. I am glad I got some points from Uruguay win as I had predicted 0-3 win for Uruguay. Now I am waiting for Morocco to win and I think they will have an easy win this afternoon.

I guess this is the first unexpected result in this world cup tournament, I didn't expect Iran to be able to achieve a victory against Morocco at all, the best result I expected from Iran was just a draw against Morocco, it seems that anything is possible to happen in football.

Despite Morocco dominating the ball possession in this match, they just can't seems to break down Iran solid defense, by the way, is there anyone who had successfully predicted the match result between Morocco vs Iran?

Iran stole the win , I guess very few people went for Iran to win so probably no one predicted that score
Morocco didn't play well , they dominated the ball but they weren't able to be really dangerous with their chances and that's how football works when a team doesn't score

Well I surely backed Morocco as they are the reigning champions of African Cup. I thought they would not have any difficulties to finish off Iran. What we have mistaken though ,all of us who backed Morocco is that we didn't care to see that Iran had only conceded 5 goals during all the phase of qualifiers. Probably we should analyse more the games, this is an advice to myself first and to anyone taking part in this competition.

Edit: Probably the predictor isn't working right now because of heavy load, was working perfectly until now.
