Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Usually it's as secure as your smartphone. If your phone is rooted and you are always download unknown apps from untrusted sources, your device - and consequently your wallet - may be at risk. But if you keep your phone safe, don't download random files and do not leave it in the wrong hands, it should be as secure as your Windows computer.

Still, I would only keep small amounts in your phone. Preferably amounts that you will spend while you are in the street.

While TryNinja is (in theory) right, it unfortunately doesn't always look that bright in the field.

Researchers have found out that quite a lot of manufactures do skip android security patches.
They are publishing a new update, which doesn't close any security flaws regularly. You can read more about it here: https://www.wired.com/story/android-phones-hide-missed-security-updates-from-you/.
They have found out that there is a 'patch gap' of 3-4 months on average.

Exploiting such a patch gap is not trivial since you have to exploit a variety of vulnerabilites to gain control over the mobile.
While this patch gap does indeed represent a flaw, this doesn't mean your mobile is going to get compromised 'easily'.

Mobile wallets are fine for holding 'small' amounts. But you shouln't store coins worth more than your mobile on such a mobile wallet.
It is perfect for every-day spendings, but should not hold your salary. But this does also apply to desktop wallets (or any other hot wallets in general).

7 safest wallet for cryptocurrency
...
Coinbase – Hot Wallet.
MyEtherWallet – Paper Wallet.
...

Don't consider 'coinbase' as a secure/safe wallet.
Coinbase is a company which does offer an exchange.
They do provide a service where they are in charge of your bitcoins, allowing you to withdraw them. But this is NOT a proper wallet, since you don't have access to your private keys, effectively NOT owning any bitcoins.

MyEtherWallet on the other hand is not a paper wallet. It is an interface which does allow to create paper wallets. But the majority of people are using it as a software wallet.
This shouldn't be considered as a safe/secure wallet either.

Both are pretty vulnerable and should not hold amounts which you can't afford to lose.

I think it is secured as secured as it can be. Knowing that it's not just about apps and memos that are saved inside but actually a lot more important than that. If the wallet app can be installed in our phones through download then the security itself may differ from just the security of our phones knowing that viruses can actually enter our phone through any types of downloads and updates made by our phone. So I think it is secured in a lot more confident way.

It is one of the safest wallets in existence, many famous wallets such as blockchain.info based their code on the bitcoin wallet. but it does not do the wallet to be safe and the user to be careless forgetting to make backups and put a bad PIN password so if that is the case, then the user who is not secure.

I do not know why you are blabbering in the answer mate. PIN and password is not a security feature to avoid the scam and hacking mate. If you have the 2FA, private key and security phrase secured you will be able to keep your wallet safe mate.

In android wallet you can see blockchain wallet and mycellium seems much secured than other wallets mate.

In fact, wallets that contain 2FA are just the web wallets as blockchain info which helps to ensure more security but I would not trust my whole money in a web wallet, PIN and password are not a feature that helps protect you from hackers? so why do not you dare leave your wallet without a password? Obviously you would not do this, put a password easy to be broken as "123456" the programs that have brute fource break the encryption in a follow... that's what I'm saying about the need for a strong password to give your coins more protection.

Based on my experienced 2fa authenticator for mobile or on pc and password is enough to protect your coins to any hacking activity like brute force or phishing if you victim of phishing they don't know what is the 2fa code to login but expect to receive a email report that someone trying to login in your account so you must be online daily to keep aware of what happens to your wallet and don't forget to use anti-virus like Kaspersky (eset free as alternative) to keep your mobile clean.

As I see so far people directly lost their fund with the incorrect URL accessing to wallet mate. Apart from that no one lost the fund so far bro. So ignore hacking attack all the time. If you want to keep the fund on the wallet 2FA is one of the additional option to secure it.

So far people confirmed and said wallet has been hacked. They did not share the tx id which goes out. Hence you should understand those news are fake on the new site bro.

Blockchain.info mobile wallet is not independent wallet, it requires pairing from web version via QR code so I am not big fan of it. Whereas, Mycelium is single-handedly most efficient mobile wallet presently. It provides everything a person needs from Bitcoin wallet: multiple accounts, dynamic addresses, Seed, pvt keys, buying/selling within app, signing a message, cold storage, etc. The only drawback it has is its complexity. Mycelium is providing such huge bunch of features in few MBs of mobile wallet so it is little difficult to use certain features like making backup.

Electrum mobile wallet is also a good choice. A simple client wallet providing basic features and providing various versions of Bitcoin addresses like Single, Dynamic, Segwit, etc.
