The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

CoinHunter,

I'm not hater, just a legit bug to report.

Running Win XP SP3, never had no issues with any other SolidCoin client.

First time I have run SC in a few days, Downloaded the new client...1.03

When the block chain downloads it hangs on increments of 500.

Deleted everything except wallet and .conf, reinstalled, same prob every 500 blocks.

Have to close and restart Solidcoin.

The BitCoin client does the exact same thing on a fast computer with a fast connection. There seems to be some rate limiting in there somewhere.

Just wait it out. I think this is a feature not a bug.

It never restarts till I shut it down, never had this problem before with Bitcoin, IXC, I0C, NMC or even other SolidCoin clients till now.

You are all kinda right. Smiley

This is a bug which is inherent in Bitcoin but is rarely seen because it hasn't been attacked like SolidCoin was until recently.

1.04 is going to be out very soon which fixes this bug, among other things. It's a lot faster to download the main chain now.
