Hey.

I got some problem with my Ultracoin wallet.

When i start it i get no splashscreen or anything at all. But in the
right corner in the "taskfield" i see the ultracoin icon. When i move my
cursor over it it does disappear.

Seems like it does not start at all.

I have tried:

Removing the ultracoin folder in %appdata% folder
Removing the wallet also and unpacked it again. (Also on different harddrive)
Tried redownloading it.
Also tried other programs to unzip it.

Yeah im pretty much out of ideas.

For you next updated version, there is a wishlist / bug-report / feature-requests:


(1) cgminer.conf

You seem to have introduced new parameters

BUT they don't appear in the cgminer.conf file which is written when you press
(s)ettings
(w)rite
<enter>

Please add them.
Will they be read & understood if I put them in a .conf file instead of a commandline switch?

Are there more new parameters?

There is no scryptjane-README.txt
There is no ultracoin-README.txt
There is no API-README.txt
There is no AUTHORS.txt
There is no GPU-README.txt
You have deleted all the original manuals?



(3) name of the executable and CGWatcher

For being able to continue to use CGWatcher (which e.g. with vertcoin (VTC) works perfectly) the executable cannot be called ultracoinminer, but needs to keep the old name cgminer.exe, but inside it's own folder that's no problem at all:   ultracoinminer\cgwatcher.exe



(4) name

inside the running programming, headline, first line - what about calling it "3.7.2.ultracoin.v02", so:

cgminer 3.7.2.ultracoin.v02  - Started: ...



You are a working for a rich premined coin, it shouldn't be a problem to implement these few wishes

I would just like to reply to this one sentence that seems to be a game of telefud.  I downloaded the client minutes after launch and had nodes minutes after opening the wallet... on multiple computers.

this was my experience, i didn't have to manually add nodes, i installed the wallet on 2 computers within 10 minutes of launch. i think there is some element of luck perhaps?

I think the coin is massively overvalued atm... 0.0001 is a stretch too, FTC is 120 difficulty and  rate is 0.00035. Here diff is 9 but because of jane its effective ~12-15.

Bumface, I have a question regarding PoS.  If I am mining and end up leaving the coins on the pool (I am talking something reasonable like 200 or less) will I get PoS rewards there or do I have to move them to the wallet where I am mining from?

But all of the posts that appear literally immediately after the launch make me wonder how many people opened it, and saw no connections for all of 30 seconds before making a post about it.  I guess that is just the nature of these threads, though.

There would be default node(s) coded into the wallet upon release, and those nodes would seed other nodes when more come online, correct?  I am no expert, just trying to imagine how it would work.

The coins just need to be in a wallet and the client running and you must use the walletpassphrase passwordhere 99999999 (<---- expiration time before it encrypts wallet) in the console if it is encrypted.  But it must be a wallet you control.  You will not earn PoS interest on pool or exchange holdings.
