What is the difference between "activity" and "post count" on this forum

Hey all,
   Just had a quick question.   What is the difference between "activity" and "post count" on this forum?   Obviously each time you make a post, the post count goes up.   But I was just checking out my profile, and I noticed that my "activity" doesn't really move.   So I looked at a couple other profiles, and some have the same activity as they do post count. 

   Sorry if this is a dumb question, I just couldn't find the answer to this question by searching.   Thanks...

Thanks man, i search before asking, but there are so many threads it's hard to navigate sometimes..
