I see that we are having some features put in, so can be get a feature to put a reserved price?
What's that?

I am heavily against a reserved price. Tosaki, what this means is that you would have a starting price for an auction, say 1BTC and then a reserve price of let's say 5 BTC. Now everyone starts bidding on the auction and it only goes up to 4 BTC and the auction ends. Now the seller doesn't have to sell the item because it didn't reach his reserve price. It's basically just a waste of time for everyone involved. If the seller will take no less than 5 BTC, then he should start the auction at 5 BTC.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

It's basically just a waste of time for everyone involved. If the seller will take no less than 5 BTC, then he should start the auction at 5 BTC.

If the reserve price is public (and anything else would really be a joke) I want an interface that allows me to completely ignore the non-reserve minimum price.
I assume a reserve price is something where the seller pays the fee for the 5Ƀ transaction or whatever the price was when he trumps it. It would be like giving every account a Doppelgänger who puts in a reserved price offer the last minute of the auction and the other guy then might end up paying 5.1Ƀ instead of the prior 3Ƀ, or because he preferred to have you pay a fee for being mean, you buy your own shit for 5Ƀ, essentially paying a fee (for wasting everybody's time and real estate on the site).
Another option would be to allow users to bid on their own items. Bitmit could be fine with all this as for them it's not important who pays the fee in the end and users already ask friends to help them out or have fake accounts for exactly such bullshit. As Bitmit will barely be able to prevent such manipulation from happening, they could just as well facilitate it and in return show statistics on how serious a 1ct. starting price is with this trader.

Bug report: If I edit a listing with an existing picture, and add one or more pictures, the last added picture is used as thumbnail (regardless of what picture is selected with the radio buttons). The only way to change the selection is to delete all uploaded pictures and start over.

I hate it when dealing with digital goods, you send them the codes and they never mark as shipped so I have to request a release and wait 7 days. Could do with that Bitcoin now lol

If it is really urgent please contact our support so we can arrange a 48h rls if buyer does not deny.

Wouldn't want to bother the support team for something this minor. Thanks for the response though. If they don't pay then I will be contacting you.

How do I withdraw bitcoins?
The order says "Money released." Money released to where? I can't find anywhere to enter my wallet address or withdraw the bitcoins.

BitMit doesn't handle wast amounts of fiat like BitSpend, so I don't think they have that problem.

Thanks for the feedback dudes!

I must agree, Bitmit is really lacking of a Watchlist feature.

Updates:
Digital instant delivery feature:
- Define the min. confirmations a payment should have until your digital item is delivered (0-6), check out your sell settings.
Note: We do not recommend to delivery your item when the btc transaction only has 0 confirmations.
- On the item sell page we made it more clear that every input field is the delivery information for one item purchase

Escrow:
- Reduced the automatic refund request time to 7 days instead of 14

Order page:
- Payment prompt box is also shown when the seller has set the order status to shipped but the order has not been paid yet

Without going thru the previous nearly 40 pages can someone tell me what Bitmit is doing to cut down on the massive amount of stolen items sold on bitmit? What I am referring to is user accounts for various services. Lots of stolen Netflix, Hulu and various porn accounts on there. I'd be afraid to even touch a game code or paypal transfer auction/buy now. The last thing I'd want is my Paypal account shut down because I bought $100USD in Paypal thru Bitmit and it turned out to be a stolen Paypal account.

Personally I think Bitmit is huge and will be the next Ebay and possibly beyond within the next decade. Ebay was like this during the early years as well

Hi Tosaki,

I am a verified vendor and am having an issue with a buyer who has received the shipment, and has not released escrow for 2 days now and has not responded to me after several messages. I will PM you the details of the transaction. Thank you.

I would like to be able to post update/comment even if bidding already started.
Also a watchlist with opt-in email notification when an auction is about to end is a must.

Thanks!

eBays only allows you to *add* to the original text after the first bid.
Forbidding full editing is the way to go, otherwise you could screw the buyers.
This is why I said that I want to be able to post update/comment in the first post. I didn't said I want to edit the listing. Sorry for broken english.  Lips sealed

What is the number of confirmations required before the item is deemed "paid"? I am looking at a recent auction I won, and there is already 6 confirmations but bitmit still shows unpaid (though it shows that there is a unconfirmed payment of xxx btc).

Usually this is verifying with 6 confirmations, but I thought of asking here incase the website owners know the correct number.

Feature request:

One of my key selling points is that I offer free shipping. I would very much appreciate if there was a way that this was highlighted. Not only on the item description page, but also on list pages (Bestseller, search results and so on). How about a small "free shipping" icon next to the shipping flags beneath each item picture?
