How do I get images to load?

I'm trying to load an image for one of my posts, but it keeps showing up as a hyper link. How do I get it to directly load the image from imgur.com?
btw I am using the "img , /img" tags.

You can't.

Only Jr. Member's or above can post images. The easiest way is by buying the Copper Member upgrade (that will give you Member-like benefits).

as the other users pointed out that you can't load images as this is also the new update implemented by the admin to avoid newbie spamming in the forum. Jr. Member rank also now requires 1 merit in order to rank up aside from the required 30 activity in your account recorded.

And if you are in hurry to be able.to load images and get to use.the feature in this forum I suggest you to look on market place and see those legit users sellong bitcointalk account using trusted escrow service. However, it is said.in the forum that selling of accounts were discouraged. Many of users in that section were getting scam especially if the thread started by a newbie or a red trust user.

Your rank does not allow you to load images but still you are doing it wrongly.

You should first load image in third party website like imgur and the get shareable link of BB code and post that link here. (Actually in your current rank , you can share the image in the forum by this way but they will not load.)

Another hack beside buying copper member is to request other high-ranked users to quote your post, or get merits.
If the image is not that important (posting announcement of your project), I don't think you'd have to buy copper member or look for merits.

Not a good piece of advice to give to a newbie especially at this time when account sales are heavily frowned upon by the community.
Just out of curiosity, are there even escrow services that still accept to do an escrow service for forum account sales?

I think if OP planning to stay in the forum for  a good time, then growing your own account is the way to go. One merit is not so hard to get so that you rank up to Jr Member.
