About PXL Coin
The Million Dollar Homepage was created in 2005, where people could purchase pixels on the site for $1 and then upload an image and hyperlink.  As people began buying up those pixels and uploading their images, the homepage was filled out and internet history was created.

Today marks the beginning of a new era! PXLCoin.com contains a new canvass for the cryptocurrency community. Instead of charging "real" money, each pixel on the site can be purchased using PXLs.  Upload whatever your imagination desires - your clan logo, pictures of your doge, a business logo or advertisement - whatever you want.  And the image can also link to a web URL.

So let's see what you all can come up. Please keep it clean.

FAQ
How do i add my image to the site?
Send an email to mail@pxlcoin.com - include the dimensions of your image (like 20x20), where you want the image to link to, and attach the image to the email or provide a web link (We can resize your image for you as well). You will receive a response back with an address to make payment.  We will be implementing an order form soon, but we will never have it be fully automated as we need to approve each submission for profanity.

How large or small can my image be?
The image must be a minimum of 25 pixels (one mined block). Also we only allow rectangular shaped dimensions.

What happens to PXLs sent to the website to purchase pixel space?
As of now we are focused on maintaining the coin and website.  Currently we don't plan on selling any coins. However this may change in the future and will depend on many factors, such as how many coins are available and what the demand is for advertising space on the site.  Most coins are not backed by anything.  PXL Coin is backed by advertising and a team of developers who work hard to make that advertising happen.  Once we have a more official policy, we will announce it.

Can we resell our space?
You may change any image that is 256 pixels (16x16) or higher.  The first change is free. Subsequent changes can be made for a 10% fee (10% of the image dimensions at the current per-pixel rate).  The fee is capped at a maximum 100 PXL (even if the 10% is more than 100 PXL).  All changes must be made via email from email address on file.  Transfer of email address on file for an image also may be done so at a 10% fee. Placing of images that say "this space for rent" or similar are not allowed.  PXLCoin.com does not endorse the purchase of pixel space from any third party. Do so at your own risk as we are no way responsible for any transactions made outside of our site. This policy may be tweaked or changed based upon market conditions in the future.

Will the size of the pixel wall change?
Currently the grid is 1000x1000.  We do plan to increase it to 1920x1080 (full HD). After that we may upgrade to "4k".  We also have other creative projects we are working on where people will be able to spend their PXL coins.  It does not end with pxlcoin.com!

Are images stored in the block chain?
No images are stored in the block chain - only on pxlcoin.com

What is http://www.pxlcoin.org
We are in NO WAY affiliated with pxlcoin.org. That seems to be another project with a similar name.

Trade PXL and other coins at Atomic Trade!
According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Minar.cc PKL PPLNS Mining Pool

I have setup a VARDIFF+Stratum PPLNS Mining Pool, so you are welcome to join and spread the network hashrate.

Please let me know if you find anything out of normal, comments and suggestions also welcome!

I have set pool fees to 1% and only 0.01 PXL payout fee to pay the actual transaction fee.

pxl.minar.cc

Start your miner using the following parameters:
URL:stratum+tcp://pxl.minar.cc
PORT:3344
USER:username.worker
PASS:workerPass
Sample command-line:
   ./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://pxl.minar.cc:3344 --scrypt -u username.worker -p workerPass

Minar.cc pools are not running anymore, the domain was registered by someone else and I don't have any relationship with the new owner.

I have a feeling the coin got buggered already, at least for solo miners.

Edit: I now have a fully confirmed block of 25 coins...

If you are using cgminer, load it up and add the pool. It will be http://localhost:port (this is the RPCPort in the conf file)
enter the username you put in the conf file and the password and you're good to go.

That is more of a safeguard to prevent loss from the pool being hacked/attacked/etc.
