since you are so pained then similarly you must be convicted.  conviction should then mean you would be willing to put your money where your mouth is. 

i bet you 100 BTC or $670 to be held in escrow that the USD denominated price of BTC will be higher 1 yr from now than it is today.  how about it?

I've seen a lot of people trying to make these bets but no one taking them.

Actually it would be more interesting to see a bet of where the price will be 2 weeks from now.
Alot of the bears in the forums are secret permabulls who wanna stack up cheapl this is why this argument is brought up as it's easy.

its b/c many of the trolls here haven't taken the time to study the technology or the mathematics behind Bitcoin.  they also don't understand how money works which is why i'm sure they'd be against gold as well.  they're just paid shills for the banks and/or gov't propagandists.
