I'd thank you to not sabotage my thread with false information.

Gift payments are irreversible unless an account has been compromised and then an unauthorized reversal can be made by PayPal - which is why I offer full identification methods (bullet point 2 and 3 under For skeptical sellers) to safeguard the seller.

You should include that information in the OP then. Not try to assure people PayPal Gift is irreversible when you, clearly, know it is not.

Only an idiot wouldn't understand but at the risk of starting an argument with an ignoramus...

You're too right! The remark in question has been removed.  Roll Eyes

All PayPal can be reversed. If you sell BTC for PayPal them expect to be scammed.

YOU were scammed and you bought with PP??? Unpossible.

BTW PP gift CAN and is often reversed. Toss in funding via CC and it's a lock it can be disputed. As for using escrow, unless seller waits 45-90 days before the coins are sent, it's useless.

When the subject of buying BTC with Paypal comes up, I often remember this:

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

It was my own fault. There were SEVERAL signs that I missed.

User: xiaoliusyeah, -6 rep...derp de derp  Embarrassed

(A. I forgot to double check his BTC address, it didn't have the funds in it.
(B. He took FOREVER (I found it strange, but didn't cotton on)
(C. He offered me a lower price than what I offered
(D. He changed the amount he would sell me at the last second
(E. He wanted me to put a message saying "yeeyay"

So obviously B, C, D & E add up to the conclusion he was buying BTC/something from somebody else, in scamming me to pay his guy.

correct and not correct..buyer protection does NOT protect you from digital goods especially if sent as gift

you can report your account hacked..if they don't look to far into it (seeing that you are using your normal computer and or connection) they could reverse it

but sending as a gift the only way to reverse a payment is to lie to paypal saying that you were hacked when you sent on your own

Exactly. I don't know too many scammers that are honest either.

I have it on Skype logs - if it comes to needing to show screenshots then it's no problem! When are you going to send me the REAL bitcoin payment?

I'm sorry but I never remember said I always open Skype. If you want Pm, just pm here. I will get e-mail notification send to my handphone. I can send right now but since you show the vulnerable of seller. I only can make the trade using escrow and the btc must be hold at the escrow for a few days. If you accept using this term I can make the trade now

You sent with 0 fee last time, of course it failed. Now you have the BTC back. I am not interested in trading with you again.
