5.9% premine
no thanks OP
The opening announcement, from the very start has shown (in bold text) how much had been allocated and for what reasons. This did not have to be publicised but it was for transparency and honesty. There will be giveaways, starting over the next few days and we will show, in posts, logs of these transactions. How you read into the allocation it is up to you but our stance on it is this: By holding giveaways, combined with a very low starting difficulty and increased initial subsidy for mining, we can provide everybody with a chance to obtain BitNotes easily in the early stages. Miners are absolutely crucial to the mechanics of all crypto currencies, but many posters on this forum do not own, cannot afford, or are unable to obtain the necessary hardware to be able to mine. With giveaways, we can provide everybody with an equal opportunity. All people have to do is post their address in a giveaway thread – miners and non-miners alike. The bounties subsidy will be for work including web development, artwork/design, but most importantly, updates - which are incredibly complex and outside expertise may be required. The trust fund, which has been reduced to 100k, is a reserve for the founding members. We have not mined since the launch, nor will do so in the future unless hash rates fall drastically. This message is an also an open invitation for anybody out there who can bring expertise and ideas to the team. We do not intend to request BitNote is traded on any market sites until it is well enough established as we want this currency to last.
Giveaway threads are no longer allowed, so how will you justify your premine now? Also, giveaway threads do NOT level the playing field between miners and non-miners. In fact miners can mine AND receive free coins.

The criticism in here lives up to its incredibly high standards as always . It’s time to put a few points straight now: The initial allocation/premine was done with good intentions at heart. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, and in all honesty, it was too high and that was realised very quickly. We genuinely hoped to provide a way to distribute BNT to everybody who wanted to receive BitNotes and be a part of something. Sadly, this concept is not understood by the majority of miners in here. As said before, we have been 100% transparent and honest about the premine right from the initial announcement. Giveaway threads were banned shortly after BitNote was released, taking away a major platform to distribute BNT. However, you can still receive them here: https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/4165-bitnote-giveaway. There are still around 400k BNT left over which are earmarked for giveaways and bounties. We have pledged 250k BNT for giveaways alone and this includes extra bonuses for miners. A full ledger of the amounts sent is being recorded and will be made available. To clarify, there are no intentions whatsoever to approach any exchanges for a long time to come. BitNote was created for sustainable growth, not as fodder for exchanges. Apologies if this disappoints you.

How about making some bonus blocks!! 6 BNT per block is a tough one to mine (even though I have been solo mining it), But I have so far gotten 1/5 of my coins from the giveaway!!

To all the unsuspecting sheep out there a public news announcement:
Premine: 590,000
Block reward: 9 per block week 1 total 90720 6 per block week 2-4 total 181440 3 per block week 5-15 302400
Total after 15 weeks 574,560
It will take 4 months to equal the premine. This is a common scam tactic to maximize profits. High max coins with a low block reward + premine means the dev will control the majority of these coin for the foreseeable future. The dev is now a whale and can manipulate the price by selling to crash the price and then buying in low to get cheap coins. The fact that the premine was any more than 1% (5.9% in this case) with no new features or innovation is a pretty dead giveaway to the devs intentions.
Please don't support crapcoins. There are real coins with actual innovation and new features out there.

I'm still supporting this. It's rare. If the devs want to get profit they won't dump it at a low price. I hate the "botnet" and "GPU-farm" coins much more. Those are the real scams. Those who mine a coin with big hashpower will not hold to it. They just dump it and move on. Most of the people here not even want to help advertising or give a little sum for projects. It seems to me that right now big miners are killing the altcoin market with this behavior. If you can’t mine big amounts of coins you just scream SCAMMMMM! Pathetic.

Those are all good ideas, I think. I love the notion of making it an old fashion looking bank note 'BitNote' dollar design deal. It represents the ideas that cryptos tend to stand for and it also gives the coin apparent sophistication with layers of different shades of green, and watermark binary code. I agree though, I think someone really qualified should get a bounty for rehashing the current one and making it look better, although I appreciate it as it stands.
