Now they locked my account and they force me to enter to tier 2 verivication level for to be able to withdrawal my holdings!

I definitely suggest you turn your coins into any altcoin and withdraw if you can do that. Yobit had the same problem and people just changed their coins to doge and returned it to a new exchange and withdraw as btc or usd from there.

I'm level two and it's very easy to get. Why couldn't you pass level 1?

I just want to double check something - On the site it says the daily deposit/withdraw is $2,000 USD equivalent before needing to verify the account.

Is this right? I cannot deposit 5BTC and lend them without verifying my account?

I only deposited about $2k worth of Bitcoin because of this limit but it didn't seem to have an effect on my limit bar.

I'm trying to replicate trading indicators in my application like on polo-charts. I use this formula for calculate EMA

But I observe some difference (around 0.1-0.5%) between my EMA-graph and exchange ones. Intup data - closing rate for candles, EMA Period - the number of candles. What am I doing wrong, why indicators is difference?

I would like to announce a new cryptocurrency exchange - Poloniex.com.

Another exchange? Why?

Several reasons. Here are the major ones.

First, none of the major exchanges are listing NXT. DGEX is great, but I have long wanted to see NXT on an exchange that has candlestick charts and executes trades at the best possible price. I also think NXT will benefit from being on more than one exchange, and listed alongside other, more well-known currency pairs.

Secondly, I want the fees to be fair, with no surprises. Trading fees are 0.2%, and they will never be raised. Having no fees is not sustainable and will ultimately result in corners being cut, and having no fees for a while to draw customers in and then suddenly imposing them feels like a bait-and-switch to me. Like Pete at CoinedUp, I find withdrawal fees to be outrageous, so Poloniex charges only the TX fee imposed by the client.

Lastly, it is a top priority to keep Poloniex running smoothly. We will not bite off more than we can chew. If traffic starts swamping the servers or we have any problems with the functionality of the exchange, we will address the problem before continuing to expand. We will be upfront about issues.

How can I trust you?

Trust has to be built. I will operate Poloniex with honesty and integrity and be as transparent as possible when answering your questions. I believe this is the only true way to earn trust.


I will monitor this thread and respond to your questions and feedback. If there is anything you have always wanted to see in an exchange, please let us know!

What do you say about the recent delisting of coins, most of these coins had very large volume for your exchange and most had very active development. Why would you decide to delist ? You have destroyed  much hard work, millions of dollars gone. Why would you do such a thing if your not a scammer. A email to the teams was all you needed to do to mitigate the damage had you a real reason for doing the delisting.

Nope. You don't link accounts. You need to perform a standard bitcoin transaction and pay the fee, i.e. withdraw from CoinBase directly to Poloniex deposit address.

    That is, can  I send 0.0009 BTC, 0.001 BTC etc to my Poloniex BTC deposit address to get credited in my Poloniex account?

There's no minimum for bitcoin deposits (there are for some other altcoins, ie ethereum have min 1 ETH). But don't bother with anything in range of 0.001, the tx fee could be higher than that and it's a waste of time, I don't think you can place any order for such a low value, and you can't use lending option etc.

If you indeed have few BTC, just deposit more. If you want to test the site, make some trades, provide a loan, you'd need at least 0.01.

I've been left scratching my head over their decision over a number of their delisted coins - I can't see much logic to it.

Does anybody know if we have to withdraw those coins before 2nd May or if we have some time to withdraw once the markets have closed?

Im not keeping any coins on Polo. reason why. I ve seen this scenario play out a few times before. We have no idea why this was necessary. Therefore we dont know if there are bigger problems going on. also these were people who lost significant sums of money and they are about to stir up a shit storm for Polo. Do not trust them. Be prepared for them to be gone at any time. Fish
