But coinmarketcap is excluding now some of the major (Chinese ?) exchanges (Huobi, OKCoin, BTCC) .. thats gotta stir things up.

Walter somewhat related to above (although coinmarketcap does not play a role in this story) http://www.coindesk.com/estimating-data-china-real-bitcoin-trading-volumes/That's a really interesting article. Thanks for sharing I must admit that it does seem somewhat futile for coinmarketcap to exclude chinese exchanges, whether we believe the trading volumes are accurate or #fake doesn't really matter... The scale of Chinese crypto trading is still huge (in relative terms) so to exclude it from the list doesn't really improve the quality of the information delivered.. We just lose visibility of what's going on in china. Walter

That happened to me too. Sorry to hear. You might be stuck with your new user name and stats, like I was How did they do it, Tante? And why? I think because I had a really stupid password. The old lady in me was wary of having so many passwords, and I didn't care enough when I opened that account. What they do with your account is try to sell things and rip people off, using the reputation you've developed on this forum. So always check what people write on the reviews! Put your BTC address in a few places on the forum where it won't get erased and in your signature (in case it's still there after losing control) as that's the only way the mods will help you get your account back. You have to sign a message with that bitcoin address. Also, you have to follow their instructions exactly, on how to get your account back. You get only one chance, and if you haven't done everything exactly the way they asked it the first time, they won't look at a request a second time. BCT is not very helpful here. And now that I'm thinking about it, I'll put this up again for backup, LOL BTC: 12pu5nMDPEyUGu3HTbnUB5zY5RG65EQE5d NOT for tips!

Dash and Monero... Not really. The Core team doesn't have any animosity toward Monero. I don't know, as I never go to other threads, but I hope people in the Dash community don't go to Monero threads to troll. It's stupid and a waste of energy, and makes everyone look bad. BTW, what movie is that from?

No gerhard, dash is not bound to them in any way. Monero or should I say "great gustav" it's in no way comparable to Dash. It's heavy already without even transactions in most of its blocks, slooow and has one trick pony only. No monetary properties whatsoever. Can't be a digital cash, ever. By the way. How convenient for moroneros is to be silent now, isn't it? I wonder if it's related to their fucked up RC increasing incredibly single transaction, making this shitcoin even more shitty. People can't make a transaction, they need to wait an hour for one to be sent, it comes back to you. Their overkill-anonymity is taking its toll. No scalability, no incentivised nodes, no security due to not being based on eight years old bitcoin codebase. They think it's a good way to go with overkill-anonymity (probable crackable in the future), bloating massively the blockchain, to make a cash-like cryptocurrency. I'm sorry for the comparison.

Quoted to protect your address I also opened my account with a stupid throwaway password but after seeing how many hacks there are, I changed it. I desperately want more dash but every time I get my head around the new price, it goes up again! I don't suppose I'll get another chance to buy under €10....

It's stupid and a waste of energy, and makes everyone look bad. BTW, what movie is that from? I was inspired to post that image from the movie "The Defiant Ones" because of the way the coins were moving in the markets today. But on a more serious note, there is a good reason why there should be animosity, and the Monero folks feel it keenly because they have an inferior product and organization... The competitive exclusion principle states that two species cannot occupy the same niche. When two species compete for the same habitat and resources, the end result is that one species eliminates the other.

I desperately want more dash but every time I get my head around the new price, it goes up again! I don't suppose I'll get another chance to buy under €10.... Yah, thanks LOL, You know, I was here at the start 3 years ago (tomorrow is Dash's 3rd year anniversary!!!) and even so I managed through mining and trading to get 2 masternodes, it wasn't until much later that we got our kids to purchase masternodes. My son decided much earlier than my girls, and bought his MN for 1/4 the price the girls paid. The girls bought one last summer at a high we just passed again, and will probably go below again soon enough, LOL. It was hard to come up with the funds and even harder to convince my husband to let them buy them. He keeps kicking himself that he didn't buy one for each girl when he bought one for our son. But our son was the only one interested at that time??? So what I'm trying to say is that the risk is a little less at this point in time then it was back then, and the price reflects that. Even so I've always been a cheerleader and had full faith that Dash was going to succeed, when my son bought his coins, there wasn't a very professional team. It was still very much a group of enthusiasts that got together to do this. By last Summer, we had some serious professionals join up to the team, and the core team grew to over 20 people. 12.1 was on it's way, though there was nothing to see yet. For almost the same price today, you actually have 12.1 coming out the first week of February. This is the hardest part, the foundation for Evolution. So as time marches forward, the risk of this project failing becomes less and less. I guess my point is, IF you have the money to invest, I personally wouldn't worry too much about getting the best price, as getting in. Because the price today is nothing compared to the price it will be if we succeed. IF we succeed. There is still a LOT we have to do, and we have to do it right. There is competition always at our heals. There is a ton of hard work ahead, and we need all our experts to guide us in the right direction. Frankly, I've been impressed with every single person I've talked to in core. They are truly a cohesive group, with a singular vision, it's fascinating to watch. But it's still very risky So for me, it's a no-brainer that this is the opportunity of my lifetime. I'm just happy nobody in this cryptos sphere sees the diamond that is Dash, because it allowed us to get more MNs and I'm still hoping to convince my sister to buy one, LOL.

Dash and Monero... Dash's market cap is beyond than Monero's for 2 years, Monero just surpassed Dash, these anonymous supermen are enemies and friends, no competition, no capital gains, I like the friendship within them.
