Yes, I see that too.  I think there are a lot of big players out there that have a huge  vested interest in DASH and will not allow to drop too far.   This is why I think this is the best time to load up on more DASH.

I wasn't around for that unfortunately.  I hear stories and do know some people that sold the majority of their BTC when it rebounded back from some of the crashes but most less than $100.  This is the reason why I don't sell.  The volatility is so sudden and intense, that you can't predict when it will happen and by how much.  You sell at the momentary ATH and may end up missing the next jump.
