Budget system?  You mean the $1.4million per month budget that comes directly from the block reward and funds Dash's development, research, integrations, marketing and much much more?

I Know Exactly Why I Was Interested in Bitcoin


A recent video surfaced of Bitcoin Core/Blockstream developer Luke Dashjr answering an interview question of why he was interested in Bitcoin to begin with. Spoiler alert: he doesn’t really have an answer. This video has caused quite a stir in the Bitcoin community, with one side chastising his inability to answer the question while the other side wonders why it matters. I don’t care much for “gotcha” politics and journalism, or Bitcoin’s civil war, but I will say this: that question should be absolutely easy to answer, and the inability to do so is worrying. I know exactly what turned me on to Bitcoin. Let me tell you.

out of all the reasons not to touch xmr, the main reason I never bothered to hedge dash with it was the fear of the original devs lapping monerro overnight because it was their tech that was cloned

LOL you really haven't looked into this at all have you?  Dash was trading for less than a dollar at the time of the so-called "instamine".  If you had the chance again you'd still miss it 

At least Icey actually does put the time into doing some research, even if he manipulates and distorts the information for dramatic trolling effect.

Hi there!  Why don't you take a look at the official Dash Evolution roadmap and decide for yourself whether you think the price will go up 

To see what else is going on with Dash, I recommend reading some articles from Dash Force News and checking out some of the projects being funded from the Dash treasury budget.

If this stuff doesn't get you excited you should definitely consider selling

This is a key contributing factor in Dash's amazing stability.  A currency needs to be stable so that merchants will accept it without fear of it losing value, and Dash achieves this - quite remarkably - with the help of the masternodes.  Don't forget that these coins are not locked up because masternode owners can sell their Dash at any time, but what tends to happen is that those coins are just bought and put back into masternodes.  It's a brilliant system of organic equilibrium.

Also don't forget that just because Bitcoin has 16.5 million coins doesn't mean all those 16.5 million are on the market.  There are a lot of HODLers out there.  It's just that in Dash HODLers don't just sit on their paper wallets; they contribute vital services to the network, and are rewarded for doing so.

Dash Reaches New All-Time High From Bitcoin Cash-Out



Dash reached a new all-time high this week as Bitcoin traders sold off their profits.

On Wednesday, Dash reached a new high of $233, with a corresponding market cap of $1.74 billion. This tops the previous brief high of $213 about three weeks prior, which quickly subsided to just below $200, where it has remained over the past few weeks. The all-time high prior to this week was $228 for a short moment during the first week of July. Although this is the highest USD value for Dash to date, its present rate of 0.053 Bitcoin is slightly under half its all-time high in March of 0.12, when Bitcoin was encountering significant scaling issues.

I bought in right around there too. Do you have enough for a share in masternode.me ? If you have 50 dash you can get 2 shares. I started this last December and have 3 shares. Each week or so I get .11 Dash sent to my wallet. I have just about earned my initial investment back just in dividends from the masternode.

Dash on Coinbase or Gemini?  This would be very helpful from my POV.     Getting in and out of Dash/USD is still hard for people who are used to using these services for BTC and ETH.

I'm sure I am not the only one who is thinking that and would be interested if anything is in the works..
