Why the sudden surge in value? Is it a pump? Haven't been here in a few days, any important info?
Tough to say for sure. Price-wise the coin is in an interesting spot - new RC coming next week which adds masternode payments (huge). At the same time the price has now gone up about 3.5x where it was sitting a few weeks ago so it's already risen quite a bit. It could certainly break far either way imo. There seems to be a feeling of a -guaranteed- price spike when RC2 is released but that thinking scares me, it's just what people with tons of coins to sell would love because people will be throwing buy orders at them. Sell on the news and all that. So I dunno. Either way a jump in price today is likely to be followed by a dump, slow or fast, before RC2 is out. What happens then, hmm, well...less certain personally. Of course this is crypto so who the hell really knows, we're all guessing lol. |

Ha I sold off plenty at 0.00125 because the price didn't budge for a month and I wanted to play with other coins. Shoulda just done nothing with them  |

I think some dumping action will commence once the pumper stops buying for a couple of hours. There hasn't been much serious dumping in all this buying, except some buy walls that were covered at 0.005 on Mintpal. Whether the pumper will stop at 0.006 and the correction takes the coin to 0.005, or the pumper stops at 0.0052 and the corrections takes it back to 0.004x levels, is up to the pumper. |

Damn, dat craptsy needs better trading tools, like stop loss shit. Have to go to bed now, and dunno whether i should hold DRK overnight or not  Have decided not to hold, for a better night yo. Hope value stays where it is now, and begins increasing after wake up yo. |

That is what I have been trying all along. I've managed to get the server solo setup going, now attempting the local/remote. So yes, I have been running darkcoind -masternodeaddr=SERVER_IP from the local daemon. Funded local wallet with 1k on address 0. Server wallet was deleted, peers.dat deleted both sides, and daemon updated (both server and local) to 0.7.0 - same problem
(Evan has since updated, but I'll do it tomorrow)

What do you guys think about this pump?
Just thinking a whale is pumping the price and after it's enough he will sell his coins and remove buy wall
I'd say we are looking at different coins, buy wall what? There was a buy wall some hours ago, trying to push the price, someone killed it and then someone, maybe the same person, put a selling wall trying to move the price down to rebuy cheaper, but it didn't happen and the wall got eaten, after that it hasn't stop moving up, slowly but steady, without any important correction, so it wouldn't surprise me if it doesn't stop raising until a few days after 14th. |

That is what I have been trying all along. I've managed to get the server solo setup going, now attempting the local/remote. So yes, I have been running darkcoind -masternodeaddr=SERVER_IP from the local daemon. Funded local wallet with 1k on address 0. There is always a risk involved here, if it doesn't go down he will end up missing the train and hating himself or just rebuying back at higher rate than he sold  |

darkcoind masternode list darkcoind masternode count darkcoind help http://drk.poolhash.org/masternode.html61 that doesnt really answer my question... Sorry. address in local wallet, not in server. As of 10.7.1 and 9.3.1, masternode with port 0 will not be listed. Please check if your node has port 0. And check server's debug.log, if your Masternode was rejected. |
