Folks. Don't get too excited. This will take another day or two to correct (which means it may dip as far as 7 or 8 on low volume before completing its correction cycle back to about 11).

The rise was massive and it needs to be consolidated. Also, it occurred over a period of days (basically a week). So don't expect any fireworks for several days and even at that all it might do is stabilise and set a new base before proceeding.

Be patient and stick with your preference - either you're day trading, in which case take profits now, or investing in which case read the project roadmap to see if there's anything on it.

Anoncoin are waiting for zerocash to launch their new alt coin, so they can use the technology. I would say whatever they were doing, it didn't do what is said on the packaging.

trying rpcusrpassword i get an error that I have to set password.. so the qt is starting in server mode....

frustrating..

maybe sgminer assumes stratum and you cant do getwork anymore..

This action should be expected, IMO, doesn't Zerocash (FINALLY) launch tomorrow? Or at least they are finally revealing how they are proceeding if I remember correctly.

I haven't looked too closely at what they are doing, but (maybe someone who has can post a reply) it seems a bit clunkier of a process than (what I think) is a bit more fluid and elegant solution in DRK.

But there does seem to be a true "competitor" looming and i'm really curious as to what they release. I don't think they've said anything about algo, distribution or even mining at this point.

The guy running zerocash seems to suggest that the paper will be launched next week, but their alt is not yet ready. It is still a risk in putting transaction through an untried crypto, plus they still have a few issues that some will find hard to ignore - trust required at the launch, the project having been funded by the US military, long-term bloat.

Are you thinking of anoncoin? AFAIK cryptonote doesn't have that problem, but I could be wrong.

 My main wallet is Mac 0.9.3.3, and have 4 VM ubuntu on 0.7.4. Is it safe to send fro 0.9.3.3 to 10.7.4, or do I have to backup wallet, updated to 0.9.4/ 10.7.4, and copy my main wallet over to them?

It's safe. Both wallets are on the right fork, although you might want to update the Mac wallet to 0.9.3.4

I updated on Linux from  0.9.3.3  to   0.9.3.4  yesterday.  This upgrade is for DGW3?  Thanks.

The coin supply doesn't have a set limit, but it will stop production of new coins eventually. 22m is the maximum that will be produced, however something like 15m is estimated to be produced.
