Tried to find it, but not succesfully. Someone posted it on this thread a couple of pages back. It'll probably be all over here and twitter tomorrow. Even though it's good for drk it's also kind of descrediting it when he also went out smuthering quarkcoin, when he most likely just got a huge amount of premined coins to do so (Only rumours though)

Strong buying which is interesting to me.  I suspect it won't last but I've been wrong before.

I'm still holding my main stash, but I'm not buying at this point until we have a better understanding of how this may change the fundamentals of the coin.  Obviously the masternodes are a potential network weakness and I want to know how that is going to be remedied before I'm a buyer again.

It may not necessarily be an actual attack on the masternodes itself, but rather some clever engineering on data on the blockchain.
Either way its caused a major problem and hopefully it can be addressed once we can figure out what the source of the problem is.

This experience tells me that bitcoin will probably never fork to darkcoin's protocol until it is completely stable.  By the time darkcoin is completely stable, everyone will say: why bother with bitcoin, we have darkcoin!

Setup masternodes for profit!

Is this coin about anonymity or profit?  Sounds like masternode network is about profit.  Look what greed caused.

Wrong. Creating an incentive for a decentralized network to host coin mixing is the only direction to take. Everything else relies on trust of individuals or vulnerable central servers.

Maybe we should all abandon Bitcoin and every other coin if decentralized solutions are the 'wrong direction'.

How is decentralized when only a few run the masternodes?  Some people on here talking about setting up their fifth masternode.  Most people don't have the money to support a masternode so masternodes stay in control of the wealthy.  Just like current banking system.  Then most are hosted on same VPS provider.

These are my thoughts.  I'm not here to spam thread.  I hold DRK myself but fortunately I sold most during the recent highs.  I bought DRK a long time ago hoping it would succeed.  I have never liked the masternode network idea and never will.

I do hope that this coin recovers so that many people that invested will not lose.

With the voting system you would need to have 90% of the masternodes and even then there’s no guarantee. There are more than just a few people setting up masternodes, just like there are more than a few people mining. The design is resistant to control because of the economic model. If you tried to buy enough coins to somehow host 90% of the masternodes, the price would skyrocket, because of the demand. And you would have to buy them right away before anyone else could afford to set up masternodes. The fact the price isn’t $1000+ a coin shows nobody is trying to game the masternode system.
