Sod legibility, the Masternode Management Suite To Be now has redheads!
Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

I agree, sentiment has been overly negative on DRK lately. Want to see a move higher on good volume. Then we will know this sub .01 nonsense is behind us

I think that this price decline is the best thing that could have happened to Darkcoin. The price did go up way to fast for people to get in and acquire 1000 drk to set up MN

So this second chance has allowed allot more investors to jump in and setup MNs
currently: Total Masternodes: 848 = 830 actives + 18 inactives

With more MNs, Darkcoin gets stronger.

Im loving this, I have acquired another MN and it was twice as cheap as the one I bought before that.  Cheesy
Thats called averaging in to a position.  Wink

bigrcanada tell us about your wines..

May as well get the free advertising.
ill do one better.   ill take photos of us bottling today... and post them on here.  ill post a logo of dark coin on one of my cases of wine.  give me a couple of hours... just waiting foe our new labels to arrive.  we are bottling 1600cases today: 2013 Sauv Blanc,  2013 Gewurztraminer,  2013 Chardonnay,  2013 Chardonnay /Viognier,  2013 White Blend l,  2013 Reisling Ice wine,  2012 Pinot Noir dijon clone 115 and 777. Big Reds to be bottle in 2 months from now

Whatever you say next, nothing beats Douro, regardless of the price  Wink
are you kidding me.... I love douro.   I just planted 2 acres of toriga naticoinal because of that i know the wine maker at Quinta do Crasto.   just opened a bottle of 1994 reserva ... amazing and would have been quite price at auction.  $700+ maybe... excellent value in douro and the quality is vast improving.

The real secret to Douro is knowing which hill/farms have the best grapes Wink  That info is certainly not easy to ascertain.

Good point here.

Sheesh the masternode count just keeps going higher. I can practically see all the darkcoin leaving the exchanges. At this point roughly 18% of the total coin supply is parked in masternodes, earning DRK for their masters!

PoS at its best... lets recap..

 - Evan created Darkcoin
 - Also created x11 algorithm
 - created the first obviously working PoW & PoS coin
 - created the Masternode concept, that surpasses the simple PoS ideals
 - created the fore-front to crypto-anonimity
 - Evan works full time on this, with a super team of dedicated devs backing him up. Barely sleeps 8h every day. Not an anonymous developer!
 - Has worked 15+ years in the financial sector
 - BitFinex paired Darkcojn against USD, along with BTC and LTC.... darkcoin only exists for 6 months!!!
 - We have +95% network compliance without forking

This is just me posting without much thought. Off the top of my head. Pitty the fool who sells.

Yes yes!! Service! Not stake... Though in concept, it more a mix of both, rather than either/or

Read Bolded Below. "Darkcoin may be the sleeper that sneaks up on us. One thing I can admire about Evan. He is a doer, not a talker like me" - Anonymint

Darkcoin & Monero= Two Biggest/Best Anonymous Cryptocurrencies!

2. Next Monero seems to have more articulate and reasoned devs who are around to address technical points astutely, e.g. smooth and fluffypony (is drawingthesun a Monero dev?). If dga is a dev, you need to reign him in— his demeanor reflects badly on Monero.

Edit: Btw, I was not lumping you together dga. I was admiring your posts, until you said I ruined my reputation. Lol.

This is my position:

1. Monero, without another anonymous currency competing should continue to cement its place as the main anonymous cryptocurrency.
2. Boolberry should not be in a position to overtake Monero based on it's minimal and questionable changes.

IF: Boolberry overtakes Monero then the precedent is set for some other CN clone to overtake Boolberry based on marketing hype.

DarkCoin if evaluated solely on anonymity plus and minuses is also in the competitive mix.

As compared to Cyptonote, although its unlinkability and untraceability are subject to potential Sybil attack on masternodes (even if unlikely?), it can at least offer the hope of exponential pruning. They have to work out a balance between premixing scaling and blockchain bloat scaling
. At least they have those variables to play with, and Cryptonote doesn't (unless not mixing is considered a variable). Mixed coins in Cryptonote can't be pruned.

DarkCoin may be the sleeper that sneaks up on us. One thing I can admire about Evan. He is a doer, not a talker like me.

DarkCoin's design feels messy or unelegant to me, but if it works with all the duct tape, then it works.

3. Ethereum may not compete for anon, but it will take the spot light away from Monero, not sure how to use this to my advantage.

A vaporware, IPO elephant in the room that may disintegrate or successfully stomp on everything.

4. Zerocash that does not need an accumulator and has been extensively crypto-analyzed will be a major threat. This may not ever exist.

Zerocash without an accumulator isn't Zerocash any more. Since the I2P/Tor is also not guaranteed to be anonymous, users might just decide Zerocash is a cleaner elegant solution. I think you dismiss it too easily. Strange they are totally quiet though since May.

anonymity + accountable transaction.

Wallet shows real payee, not middle address.

I think next will be so called stealth address for merchant and donations.

Regarding AnonyMint's comments:

Evan has a solution for any potential scalability issues we may encounter, even at very high mixing depths.  I've been having some family issues (and there was a huge freaking wildfire by me - yikes) and haven't been able to follow the threads as well as I'd like in the last week or 2, so I'm not yet sure if he's mentioned it publicly.

Solely DRK.

https://darkcointalk.org/threads/development-updates-july-15th.1788/

anonymization phase and transactions phase are separated.

No need special S/W for accounting.

I think anonymity for sender/payer is almost completed.

Now anonymity for payee is remain.

DRK has normal transaction. So adopt other tech or develop by Evan's way.
